McCain plays the game of politics pretty well. He's basically got the sum of his delegates plus Huckabee's, and he's got Huckabee to peel off the conservative southern votes that McCain can't get directly.

Too bad the rules of the game change in the general election. For now, through the primary, McCain has the main stream media totally on his side. The pro-McCain bias I hear each half hour on the radio news is non-stop, sickening and powerful.

It's like playing in a sports game with the referees all bribed and in your back pocket.

But the moment McCain has the nomination sewed up, the referees will flip, to their first love, the Democrats, and McCain will have to play this game fighting uphill. I don't think he has a snowballs chance in hades in the general.

Maybe that's just as well.
