Praying like my heart’s on fire.
For what, I don’t know anymore.
For what, I dont know anymore.
I'm praying for GOD's mercy....cause we're going to need it.
I’m praying too, but not just for the elections, but also for the sad state of this nation.
Romans 1:28-32 sounds very familiar: “Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.”
The solution for ourselves and our nation can be found in only one place. 2 Chronicles 6:37-39 “and if they have a change of heart in the land where they are held captive, and repent and plead with you in the land of their captivity and say, ‘We have sinned, we have done wrong and acted wickedly’; and if they turn back to you with all their heart and soul in the land of their captivity where they were taken, and pray toward the land you gave their fathers, toward the city you have chosen and toward the temple I have built for your Name; then from heaven, your dwelling place, hear their prayer and their pleas, and uphold their cause. And forgive your people, who have sinned against you.”
Even if everything we fear comes true today and in November, we each need to remember the words found in Psalm 73:25-26 “Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever”
Our troubles and concerns here on Earth are so temporal and we need to keep things in perspective if we are to survive spiritually.
