As far as I can tell there is no pursuit of knowledge with intelligent design. ID means "stop looking". Why should science concede an intelligent designer even if there is one?
I must have been absent on the day they said:
“OK we have the answer to everything, you can stop looking, seeking, asking those pesky questions.!”
Your opinion. But if you think that is what ID says, then I would say to you, then, that evolutionists are trying to prove there is no ID. We look at ordered systems and say there’s intelligence behind that ordering. You’re the ones saying it’s all accidental and by random chance. Yet you’ll look at much less complex items and say ‘there’s intelligence behind that.’ You’re the ones denying a logical progression. You’re saying you believe random chance and luck and time turn mud into sentient life, but you’d there’s no way random chance would ever generate a computer or car (a much less complicated structure).
As for why should science concede an intelligent designer even if there is one, it would be because “science” is the prusuit of knowledge and truth and finding the answers. You’ve just blown your whole position and shown you don’t care or even want to know your own designer (if one exists). You are afraid to know. YOu don’t want to know, because maybe the designer may have ideas about how you should live your life and you believe it may cramp your lifestyle. If you’re just a higher animal and morals are just preferences whatever you decide is right for you. And you get to be the king of your own little universe.
I guess someone forgot to tell Newton that, or Copernicus, or Kepler, or Pasteur, or any number of the great men of science who laid the foundations of modern science who believed in a God who created the Universe.
Could you please provide evidence to demonstrate that belief that an intelligent designer, or a creator God, stifles ones desire to learn and understand more about the world we live in?
You could try googling it.
