“So you believe that drug addicts who overdose should just be left to die?”
It is my opinion that they are comitting suicide anyway. If this woman was magically transformed back to full health, she would likely be dead by overdose within a short time.
I have dealt with addicts much of my life. My compassion for the self-destructive ran out long, long ago.
There is a great deal of difference between compassion and a willingness to continue enabling.
