I’m sorry for your loss.

There is a world of difference between what happened to your niece and what this woman did.

This woman deliberately gave her unborn baby heroin, in a dose so strong it nearly killed the mother.

It’s always good to post to someone when you don’t know WTF they meant in the first place isn’t it? lol

I normally end conversation with those who repeatedly and deliberately twist my words into a lie, as apparently you are doing.

Here is an example from your most recent post to me:

for daring to protest a liberal politician’s lifelong pro-abortion positions.

I invite anyone, and everyone, who is interested to go to the threads you have so generously linked and see for themselves. Even a cursory glance would tell the reader that that isn’t my position.

I did not compare the protestors to Code Pink because they were protesting. Protesting is a valued American tradition. I compared them to Code Pink because they were shouting down a scheduled speaker, denying him his First Amendment right of free speech. That is more of a Fascist tradition, and one our side should not use, as they become indistinguishable, except for the clothing, from Code Pink.

I believe the poster who doesn't want to hear from me again did so because I asked a question that he couldn’t answer, and he may have an agenda he doesn't want exposed.

Thank you for your expression of sympathy.

We don’t consider our son’s passing a loss so much as we consider his presence for those many years a wonderful gift, happiness for him despite his condition and rewards of joy and understanding to us.

Regarding our niece, there is not a world of difference at all!

Before her final overdose, our niece had killed her own unborn child in a most brutal fashion through abortion, and it didn’t affect our Charity towards her. We did not judge her, would not have had her dehydrate to death and we do not know what went on between her and God.

8mm

This woman deliberately gave her unborn baby heroin, in a dose so strong it nearly killed the mother.

I want to be perfectly clear on this matter. I DO NOT condone illicit drug use at any time and especially not during pregnancy (I am an alcoholic and have been in recovery and completely sober for over 17 years, I have seen all too many times how destructive drugs and alcohol can be).

However, and again remember that I AM NOT condoning it, use of opiates like heroin during early pregnancy DOES NOT have any significant impact on fetal development. The real risk is to the mother.

Lauren was in the first trimester of pregnancy, the baby COULD NOT have been born addicted, it is impossible. Lauren's baby was not even premature and nothing in any of the news articles I've been able to find indicates that the baby has any health issues.

Another thing that was unclear is whether or not Lauren was even aware of the pregnancy. She was only three months pregnant, it is not inconceivable that she didn't realize that she was pregnant (heroin addicts are anything but responsible).

There are a lot of things here that we don't know, and they really aren't important. Even if Lauren is allowed to live, she does have brain damage and, barring some miraculous event, she no longer has the mental capacity to want or use heroin. I agree that what she did was selfish, reckless, horrific and possibly even criminal, but to say that she should be sentenced to death is unforgiving, callous, inhumane and anything but Christian.

Starving the helpless might qualify. lol

If done deliberately, I think it does.

Rooty was not a "schedule speaker," he was in a parade.

And you have a very skewed understanding of the First Amendment. We have the right to free speech, we DO NOT have the right to be heard. There is a huge difference.

No, the FReeper decided he didn't want you to post to him because you said this:

"Many people would prefer to see her starve to death for her actions against the baby alone. Include me in that group."

It is impossible to surmise that Ronaldus Magnus was asked a question and refused to answer it because in post #65 you DIDN'T ASK ANY QUESTIONS.

Pulling a feeding tube is a deliberate act.

HE DID INTERVENE

Did McCain vote pro or con on that issue? What you've posted doesn't say.

This constant having to correct your mistakes is getting tiresome. I did ask a question. Go read post 65, line 3.

Pulling a feeding tube is a deliberate act.

Court ordered deliberate act. You can argue the morality of such, but it is done under the jusidiction of the courts.

That was a request, not a question, a question ends with one of these “?”.

Agreed, and I believe I pointed that at least once on those threads.

WRONG!

Amendment V:
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury,

Amendment VI:
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.

There has been NO INDICTMENT, even if there was, Lauren WOULD NOT even be aware of, much less able to assist in her defense or face her accusers.

No, that was precisely the reason you used to compare pro-life activists to Code Pink.

I'll add to something I said somewhere upthread. I believe that in these kinds of situations there are very few coincidences. I don't think it's just happenstance that she's in a coma that may not end for decades. All of this may, in fact, be Divine Judgement for what she did. If it is, and obviously I believe it is, everything I've said thus far is very Chistian indeed.

-------

I don't disagree that the idea that someone can 'pull the plug' is a dangerous one, and needs to be fought. However, this is not the case to use as a 'poster child'.

Since I am not a lawyer I am only guessing, but I think that that particular angle has not been argued in front of a judge.

Well, I have little interest in rehashing all that, but if you want to show me where I said such, I will refute your assertions with facts.
