Hmmm... I just recall that it was a really bad break-up and it was the Fall of 1989... possibly Labor Day weekend... and all that was playing incessantly for those weeks was that album by Tom Petty with all those songs... it was a BAD scene, man... I’m sure that he (former boyfriend) is probably thinking the same thing right now, assuming that he’s watching this halftime show...
I couldn’t stand to listen to ANY music! Everything reminded me of her. She moved back to PA just before the earthquake and didn’t even call to see if I was okay. I was crushed. I still had hope until then. Amazing the memories that are held in songs.
