Coulter: "I Will Campaign for Her [Hillary] If It's McCain"
Breitbart News ^ | 31 Jan 08 | Hannity, Colmes, Coulter

"If you're looking at substance rather than whether it's an R or a D after his name...If he's our candidate, then Hillary's going to be our girl, Sean, cause she's more conservative than he is. I think she would be stronger on the war on terrorism. I absolutely believe that."

How so??

She's going beyond absurd to make a point.
She's not supporting Hillary, she's stabbing McCain as worse than Hillary and soft on defense.

If it already were a race between Hillary and McCain, then I'd probably agree that she went off the deep end. But there's still time to prevent that.

The Clinton/Obama ads are running all the time here. I used to recoil and change the channel as soon as I saw them. Now though that my party is poised to nominate someone almost as bad as the Dems, I don’t feel any outrage when I see the opposition’s ads. Pretty sad.

Still I think Ann is wrong if she actually comes out for Hillary. She should sit it out and endorse no one, but I can’t believe she would actively support the other side.

When ya’ll come crawling back after the election, the term RINO will not be your’s to use, unless you’re referring to yourself.

...as I feel McCain will appoint much less than satisfactory SCOTUS justices than we can possibly imagine.

The way I see it with Supreme Court Justice nominees, even if a Republican wins the White House and has an opportunity to replace retiring justices (which in all likelihood would be liberal ones already like RBG or JPS), there would be so much pressure on the POTUS to replace liberals with other liberals...absolutely so much pressure that it would not effect the composition of the court anyway.

When McManiac says he would pick justices in the mold of Roberts or Alito, frankly, I don't believe him. He has proven by his actions on other matters that he cannot and should not be trusted; and right now, IMHO he's only saying that to throw a bone to the right in the party. He has proven he will say ANYTHING to get the nomination and will do even worse to win the presidency....which I don't believe is possible.

I empathize with Coulter ... because I can’t vote for McCain either.

McCain is a petty, vindictive man. He attempted to embarrass President Bush in the eyes of the world, at a time our brave soldiers were facing bombs and bullets.

GWB, for all his faults, has always been a polite gentleman Christian, almost to a fault. TOO nice in fact.

McCain is a cry-baby who despises people of faith for sticking by their convictions and not supporting him.

He is a Napoleon Complex sufferer who obviously cared more about HIS own hurt feelings in the wake of 2000 than he did the nation in the wake of 9/11.

Never McCain!

Do you have any reason to believe that McCain’s SCOTUS nominees would be more conservative than Hillary’s?

I see a group of people who, unless the candidate is in 100% pure lockstep on what some have decreed as ‘Conservative’, will (by default) remove themselves from the process, rather than attempt to influence it. If you don’t like the candidate(s), would it make more sense to turn him into a “Lame Duck” on Day 1? Accomplish your goals by electing the right congressional candidates. They hold the purse strings to the Federal Government, pass the laws, and confirm judges. There is another branch of government to work with here. And of course don’t forget that your State/local governments have more to do with your lives as individuals (or are supposed to based on the 10th Amendment)

Amen.

Looks like we have some sore losers on FR!

Remember the discussion on here a few weeks ago about how Fred didn’t have the energy or the charisma to be President? Now we are about to be stuck with a liberal fool that has an awful personality and looks like he hasn’t had his Depends changed in 48 hours. How foolish those small minded anti Fred people (mostly Huckster follower) look now. They are to blame for us being stuck with McInsane.

Fred only has himself to blame for his poorly run campaign.

At least Hunter admitted that!

I agree with Ann here - while I despise Hillary Clinton, she has voted the right way on the WOT even tho she often talks against her votes to appease the moonbats.

You haven’t seen Hillary come out so strongly about closing Gitmo, about waterboarding, against FISA and so on like McInsane has done.

While I can’t stand Hillary, and 4 more years of Clintons in the WH would make me sell my TV, I despise McCain profoundly.

Republicans need to wise up and stop voting McCain.

Coulter is making the point in the strongest possible way that McCain should not be the GOP nominee.

Anyone who was not brain-dead during the 90s knows you don't want the Clintons anywhere near the White House, unless of course you think Republicans should take another 40-year vacation wandering out in the wilderness while Dems embed another New Deal-Fair Deal-Great Frontier-Great Society-Great Disaster program and consolidate their power.

Meanwhile, allowing the Supreme Court to go Left for the next 40 years while Dems put a lock on Congress insures that no conservative policies will be enacted probably in your lifetime. All your pet principles can be abandoned.

There will be no anti-Clinton bounceback for conservatives this time. Dems have tilted the playing field in nearly every major institution and conservatives will be powerless to prevent a tyranny of absolute power, including curbs on free speech that will affect the Internet and every Freeper. Let's not be the Stupid Party in 2008.

You need to vote to insure McCain is not the nominee, to regain control of Congress, and to defeat Hillary. It's independents and Democrats with the connivance of the liberal press who have given McCain, our "dirty tricks charlatan," his lead and will crush him as soon as he gets the nomination. Now he will have to compete in states that do not allow cross-over voting. This is important.

.

Ann’s position is just as stupid as it is unwise.

Ann is livid over McCain's attempts to embarrass and destroy the Bush ADministration in the eyes of the world - at a time when our soldiers and Marines were literally facing bombs, bullets, and shrapnel.

McCain is a petty vindictive man who obviously cares more about his hurt feelings in the wake of the 2000 election than he did the nation in the wake of 9/11.

McCain is quickly approaching the age of dementia... and not to be mean, but it is evident when you watch his demeanor in some of these debates.

I almost feel sorry for the man, considering his courage in the Hanoi Hilton 40 years ago.

But McCain suffers deeply from Napoleon Complex. I've seen it before, and it is not a pleasant thing... for our great nation to endure.

The Republican Party can do MUCH better. Romney is right when he says McCain has gotten the GOP into the mess its in.

Ann is just saying what a lot of us conservatives feel. The establishment of this party has poked us in the eyes, spit in our faces and kicked us in the nuts. We may be going up against one of the most hated woman in America and they expect us to rally around this fool that despises everything we stand for just because of the opponent. No thanks. I'll take a pass on voting for McInsane.

*******************

Voting for McCain reinforces the GOP's delusion that their move to the left is a success. No way will I vote for this man.

We need a brokered convention.

Yes, but what good would it do ? The leadership of the GOP is bent on a 'moderate' (read liberal) nominee.

This is going to be an ugly election. The next 10 months are just going to get worst. The only way the GOP can clean house is to lose. Sorry.

Regarding his oath to uphold law - he should be impeached regarding the border shenanigans and the prosecution of border patrol agents.

You need to read “Atlas Shrugged” sometime. Going down the slow road to socialism and speeding it up, in the end there is little difference.

“Ann always speaks in hyperbole and sarcasm.”

I realize that she often does, but when the same thing is repeated (on TV, Townhall, etc), at what point does the sarcasm stop and the seriousness begin?

but is it the Conservative position that a person should CAMPAIGN for Hillary...

Ann is taking a page out of Limbaugh's radio show in that she is using absurdity to make a point.

Like Ann, I too feel that the flood of illegal aliens from third-world nations is MUCH more of a threat to America than alQaeda ......

Al-qaeda will never be strong enough to make frontal assaults across the Potomac or Delaware Rivers.

But once our nation has more third-world Spanish-speaking socialists than it does regular Americans --- they will have the power to have a silent coup.

I am not being hysterical, but McCain's amnesty proposals are the biggest threat to America.
