Ann has a point. The only thing worse for the Republican Party of having McCain as our nominee, would be to have him as our President. Why have a President with (R) next to his name who enacts amnesty, caps on emmissions, appoints moderate judges, weakens interogation techniques, the list goes on. We’d be better off with a liberal with a (D) next to their name taking credit for all the screw-ups.

Remember, it took a Jimmy Carter to get a Ronald Reagan.

..Romney is running on a conservative platform, has conservative support, will be beholding to conservatives and therefore is going to have to govern that way, or risk his second term. That’s the way it works and most people seem to understand that. Unfortunately, in your ignorance, you don’t...

The premise of this whole thread is that IF McCain were the nominee and IF Hillary were the Dem nominee then who would you vote for? If Romney is the nominee, then this discussion is null and void. Also, if McCain is the nominee and Obama on the Dem side, then I would bet my bank account (what is left of it) that the Republicans would line up behind McCain in lightening speed.

Well somebody is turning Britney Crazy, but I don’t think it is Coulter.

Isn’t it usually the far left that impugns the character of anyone they disagree with and calls their political opponents “just like Hitler”.

Just tell me whoever you’re voting for, and I’ll feel pretty good about voting for the other guy / girl.

Do you have a link or do you know where you read it at NavVet?

I’m pretty curious about it.

This confirms my suspicions about her.

She is a vengeful bitch.

You are a smitten fool.

Said the person keeping score of who Ann Coulter may or may not sleep with.

She lived with a liberal.

You take this media circus as serious political discussion?

Hard to imagine anybody typing those two sentences and not catching the irony before hitting the "post" button.

I can’t imagine any circumstance where I’d campaign for Hillary - unless she was running against Hitler or Pol Pot or some other mass murderer.

Wow! You’ve created a scenario in which I would vote for Hillary Clinton. I was not aware that there was one. Thank you for opening my mind. Stop Pol Pot, vote Hillary! Yah, I would do that.

> McCain is oily and nuts but he’s no worse than GWB <

GWB is a reasonably normal human being, although certainly not without his flaws. In any case, he is basically an honorable man, with a superb temperament. I think history will ultimately judge him well.

McCain is abnormal, petty, vindictive, not very wise, and insane. In terms of temperament, he’s on a par with lowlifes like Nixon and LBJ. But perhaps worst of all, his “withdrawal” slander of Romney shows that he has lost whatever honor he once had.

Agree. Ann is right on point. McCain would have a disastrous effect on conservatives, far worse than Hillary.

We can always run against and attack Hillary. It is far worse when the evil resides and permeates within your own party.

Go get a virtual room will ya? Ann isn’t going to marry you either. Last I heard she dumped her liberal boyfriend to cozy up with a commie gun grabber. Now go ahead and post your picture of Annie with a gun. It will make you feel better.

Very good points. Slow death would be far worse and we might never have a chance to recover.

...Look, as long as we have 41 reliable votes in the Senate, we can block nearly everything a Prezdent Hillary would want to do.

But, with a pubbie Prez, those 41+ would be hard pressed to take the same stands and draw the same lines in the sand.

Ding, ding, ding!
We have a WINNER!
This is EXACTLY the problem!
Watching the alleged "GOP" in California follow SchwarzenKennedy over the cliff -- just because "he is one of us" -- should be enough of a warnng of what would be in store with President (God forbid!) McCain.
