You are more than welcome to sit at home with your thumb up your butt.
Meanwhile, I cast my Florida primary vote for Romney. My only regret is that I couldn’t vote for Duncan Hunter. I was tempted by Alan Keyes, but then I came to my senses. The point of voting is to put a guy in office, not to protest otherwise.

That is creepy
That's what gets me about Romney--he sounded so convincing and solid on his convictions in 1994, like a true believer. He was every bit as convinced then as he is now.
My reaction: The man has NO core values. None.

That’s why I am so fired up on fighting this guy.
And now the nuttiness is coming out as Romney supporters talk about voting for Hillary because ordinary Americans aren’t buying their Myth.

Years ago I worked with a salesman who was remarkably successful in placing his line. He had a number of ‘secrets’ to his trade, but the one I remember most frequently is that he would go in on a sales call and right off the bat list two or three things where his product was inferior to the competition. Then he would say that he was happy to save the potential customer the time and effort it would take to find out about these problems on his own, and now they could get right down to the business of how many or how much of the product the customer wanted to order. Very effective.
I can’t believe the time and effort that both sides have put into pouring over archives looking for inconsistencies in each other’s stands over the years! Often they’re like children who think they’ve caught their parent or their teacher in some gaff and they can’t wait to show how smart they are to have found it.
Sure, some of the discrepancies are out and out lies, like Romney claiming to have been a lifelong hunter, but has never had a hunting license, but in my book who cares? If lying is a problem for you (not you as in jdm, but the Papal ‘You’) then I’m sure you certainly didn’t support or vote for Clinton. If changing your mind and stand on something then I’m sure you didn’t vote for or support Ronald Reagan. The list goes on and on.
Gimme a break!

“If it comes down to Clinton or McCain,
I will NOT be voting for president this year.” I said this earlier this year... wellllll considering the alternative, I WILL be voting McCain!

(Idealists are nice except in the face of a Marxist-Leninist, then pragmatists will do just fine.)
