Obama is even a more frightening prospect than Hillary.
A socialist (Obama) vs. a waffling centrist (McCain).... hmm.... yeah, let’s vote for the socialist.
McConan the "Republican"? Just say NO!
Obama might actually make the Republican Party grow a spine. He’s also inexperienced and would give the country a refresher course on Jimmy Carter type governance. If we still have a country in four years, that could open the door for conservative governance.
Robbin; you are grasing in the wrong pasture. You must be lost. Go find someone to help you.
Four years of Obama, especially with a Democratic Congress, does not gain us anything worth that price.
That's dumb. That will just be interpreted as support (i.e., a mandate) for Obama. A third-party vote, on the other hand, sends a clear 'protest' message. The particular people running on the 3rd party ticket don't matter that much, since they're not going to get elected. Voting for the Constitution or Libertarian parties, for example, tells the GOP establishment "you could have had these votes if you weren't pushing leftism."
The way this election is shaping up there will be no point to voting this November.
What is going on with vanity posts about voting for/against McCain today? Get on to the news, please.
It won’t matter, McCain won’t win anyway. Think about McCain going up against either Democrat and giving a performance like he gave last night. The Democrat is going to snicker and apologize to the audience for having to contradict McCain’s senior moment.
> Ill say Im not racist, I voted for Obama. Ill get to drive around with my Obama bumper sticker for 8 years.<
I can get behind your McCain revenge scenario, but the Prius vote not so much.
As much as I despise McCain, Obama is truly the worst of the bunch. He is the quintessential and potentially most dangerous enemy within.
“A socialist (Obama) vs. a waffling centrist (McCain)....”
You mean a socialist (Obama) vs. a liberal, dishonest, back-stabber (McCain).
I’ll vote third party.
I’ll probably go third party or stay home, but I’m not voting for McCain. The GOP can try again in 4 years.
If the one man that Republicans say they won’t vote for wins the Republican primary, something is broken.
I’ll have some serious soul-searching to do at that point.
All of the conservatives combined in this race never added up to more than 12 or 13% voter support. There is a problem bigger than just McCain. I’m not sure where we go from here.

So why start a new one!
If McCain is the nominee I’ll either write-in Fred Thompson or stay home. There’s nothing that says you have to vote for a Democrat if you don’t like the Republican choice.
