I have a question for you... my husband (who is for Romney) says that "Romney can't carry the South" and thus doesn't have a chance to win the nomination... what say you?

All I know is the MSM's (including Fox News) current drumbeat that "Romney has an uphill climb after his loss in Florida."

I'm in the South and I would happily vote for Romney.

(I would vote for McCain too, but not happily)

Here’s the best scenario:

Fred Thompson is loyal to his supporters, who almost all oppose McCain. He endorses Romney.

Romney taps Fred for VP. Fred campaigns in the South and Midwest; Romney in the North, East and West.

Fred would be a good VP...slap Congress around, preside over the Senate, judicial moninations. A very good adviser.

But, the Republicans aren’t smart enough to make it happen.
