Reagan Library Republican Presidential Debate: January 30, 2008
SIMI VALLEY, California (CNN) -- Republican presidential hopefuls will face off Wednesday night without a familiar face as ex-New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is expected to drop out and endorse front-runner Sen. John McCain.
The remaining candidates will take the stage in a debate -- sponsored by CNN, the Los Angeles Times and Politico -- beginning at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday.
The event at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, follows McCain's Tuesday night win in the Florida primary.
McCain topped former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney 36 percent to 31 percent in the hotly contested race.
Giuliani placed third with 15 percent of the vote, followed closely by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee with 14 percent, and Rep. Ron Paul of Texas was fifth with 3 percent.
Giuliani is expected to end his White House bid and endorse McCain at a campaign event in California later Wednesday, Republican Party sources said.
Minus Giuliani, the debate will be a four-candidate affair -- McCain, Romney, Huckabee and Paul -- with CNN's Anderson Cooper moderating.

Does, McCain continue to dodge and lie during commercial breaks?
The KOS Kids, and Huffington Post, made O’Really’s most vicious internet sites.
McCain moving to the right?
I’m no Ron Paul fan but even I’m getting pissed of at how he’s being treated.
If CNN had so little interest in what he has to say they should have not invited him, instead of inviting him and dissing him like this.
It’s sickening how he is being treated, whether one agrees with him or not. Looks like CNN is just as bad as Fox at trying to influence the vote.
I have no idea.
OT: I hate that Cisco Telecom commercial. That guy is so smug. Ok, back to our regularly scheduled debate...
Now that's funny!,You owe me a new keyboard.
McCain, Huck, dodged the question on Sandra Day O’ Connor, Romney and Paul said they would’ve chosen differently.
I won’t vote for a single one of them that won’t deport all 12 million. Or 30 million, whatever it is. My city has been overrun and I want it back.
I am so confused...McC says he’s the immigration man and he knows how to seal the border BECAUSE he is from a border state! HELLLLOOOOO.....Mr. McC your state has WIDE OPEN borders....if you can’t help close one measley states borders, what makes you think you can close the whole country’s borders...?? Sheeeeesh.....
You are on a roll tonight, aren’t you? ;^)
No he didn’t. He said he didn’t want to criticize President Reagan’s decision. He said he would appoint judges like Roberts and Alito, who he supported.
I’ve seen insensitive postings here that would warrant that
In his “Talking Points” O’Reilly said McCain did not owe his success to the MSM.Clueless or a liar, thats our Bill.
MCCAIN LIES!!
I can understand that Paul doesn’t have 15% in the polls, but they are treating him shabbily, let the man speak.
He gets few chances and it takes him a moment to engage tongue/disengage ears.
