And with the McCain/Feingold bill you can’t answer with ads 30 days prior to the election.

Why do you need fresh reasons, when there are valid points in things like the problems caused by the institution of income tax? But recall that the President is presiding, not an emperor (well, that's what SHOULD be the case). And so following the Constitution would mean that we would have a controlled executive with fiscal and institutional restraint.

As for realpolitik, note that Ron Paul did better than most other Republican candidates in head-to-head polls against Dems, and when you consider the main objection to him here--Iraq--you have to realize that he's not going to go into office until 2009.

Overall, we have the choice of sending the message to politicians that they should (a) be lying, spendy slime, or (b) fear us. If ignoring the American peoples' rights holds no negative consequence, what do you think they'll do? Continue as they are.

God forgives everytime we ask in sincerity. We would all be in truly bad shape as we all sin daily. Sin is sin to God, be it large or small. Isn’t it wonderful to know we have such a loving God that he forgives us many times?

I voted for Romney today and all the delegates that were listed with his name under theirs.

If John McCain is the nominee and it looks like he may be, I have not made up my mind what I will do when the true voting gets here. I can either hold my nose and vote for McCain or I can write in someone. Or I can stay home! I am not sure McCain can stand up against Hillary or Obama. I have felt for a long time that the Democrats may well win and it breaks my heart.

Given the importance of his job, absolutely.

It is absolutely right and proper for a prospective employer to judge employees on the basis of how reliably they will be able to carry out their jobs. It may not seem fair that some people have various jobs closed off to them for reasons they can't control (for example, I don't think any airline would or could hire a quadriplegic as a flight attendant) but jobs aren't about rewarding people; jobs are about being able to do particular types of work when required--sometimes critically important work.

If someone is going to melt down under pressure, that person should not be President. It doesn't matter what else they may have done to 'earn' the job, or what other qualifications they have. Someone who is unable to function under extreme pressure is not qualified to be President, period. Examining candidate to find out if they are qualified is entirely legitimate and proper.

I completely agree with your assesment. I do believe the question will come again, and again, AFTER he get the nomination. The media is waiting, quitely, for the nomination before releasing the big guns on McCain.

McCain is more than creepy. I fear for this country. Hillary, Obama and crazy McCain should never get a chance to be POTUS. Imagine the damage they can do. They want illegal aliens - many of the violent and terrorists - to stay in this country and be rewarded for breaking our laws.

If McCain wins the nomination, I hope there will be enough Democrats stupid enough to take him down. I can't honestly say that I know he'd be worse than Hillary, but I believe he very well might. Curious more people don't see that.

Jeez get off of it Even Ronald Reagan wasn’t a Republican all his life he changed. At one time he was the president of S.A.G.You are allowed to change your mind or your opinion.

How many times did Ronald Reagan change his mind?

Once? Twice? Three times? Four times?

Once you claim to have "changed your mind" three or more times, you are firmly in "I won't come on your blue dress" and "I did not have sex with that woman, Ms. Lewinski" territory.

The issue here is not Pro-life or Pro-choice.

The issue here is that whatever Romney says about anything at any time is only valid until the next round of public opinion polling.

At least we know where Ted Kennedy stands.

We will have to wait for the weekly Gallup Poll to know where Romney will stand on the Tough Issue of the Week.

Me...well I shouldn’t say that. Petronski said he’d do something mean to any RP stickers that appear. I’ll probably end up writing in Fred. I won’t vote for the weather man and McCain doesn’t appeal to me. I might well vote for Obamarama realistically.

Unbeknownst to you, you've spent the last twenty months authenticating your trustworthiness.

I often think that if I ever hit the lottery, one of the first things I'd want to do is do whatever I can to get "Wounds Our Hearts" published. Really.

But if that is the Rep to run against Hillary or Obama, then we have to get out and vote for him...like people say here-—ANYBODY but Hillary, or Obama, or any Dem...

Completely agree.

LOL. Suddenly I feel like Job.

Seriously, though, some (very few) things are worth the wait. And I think this (the novel, or at least a taste, i.e., a chapter or two, is one of those things well worth waiting for).
