There were eight people on the ark, Noah, his wife, the three sons and their wives.

I guess one of them was blue-eyed. At least the time line (6 to 10,000 years ago) is correct.

Asuming the “world” described in that account is not “merely” mesopotamia (the entire known world at the time and the cradle of civilization where a devestating Texas-size flood occurred during the correct timeframe), you would be correct.

(The term “world” is used kind of loosely in the O.T. — there are times when various kings during the Egyptian periods are “kings of the whole world, that sort of thing.)

An unknowable debate, as it detracts from the point of the story.

If that helps you sleep better at night, ok.

Of course the same sort of genetic tests that dated the last common ancestor of blue eyed people also dated the last common ancestor of human beings and chimpanzees as 4.1 million years ago.

What do you think about that?
