With Hillary getting the NAG/NOW vote and
Obama getting the black vote, the democrats

I was at a diner at my sisters house on sunday. My brother-in-law and his wife were over too. They are two of the biggest yuppie democrats I have ever met. I love my sister and her husband to death, but I cannot stand his brother for many years now. Anytime you make a comment about anything he disagrees with, he gets right in your face and starts yelling like some high school coach. For the sake of family gatherings, I let soo much with these two slide. My sister, who shares my conservative leanings, has thanked me on many occasions for doing this since she knows I would usually not back down when presented with such rantings.

Well after dinner, his wife whose a college professor (yahh, go figure) starts up with how awesome Obama would be for this country. How he would repair our relationships with Europe and the middle east. How our economy is crashing because of all the money spent on the Iraq and Afganistan wars. She even suggested massive tax increases on all consumer products to get people to buy less. On and on and on she went fawning over Obama and how she loved his books.
So I just asked her, “You believe he’s experienced enough to be a president?”
Thats when out of the corner of my eye, I see the pitbull perk up at my comment in his chair and march over to us and sit down next to me. As the converstation continues, I bought up the fact about his childhood, including his years in Indonesia at a muslim school. Right then, the guy gets up and starts yelling, “Thats a lie and been debunked already!! He never attended muslims schools!!” Right there, I was ready to let all the years of pent up anger over this Al Franken wannabee go and really tell these two libs what I thought of their savior, Obama, but I looked over at my sister, who looked tense, and just let it go.
The things I do for my family............

** Teddy Kennedy endorses Barack Obama, African-American. **

We should be listening to a different Teddy.

Over the years I have become increasingly dismayed with this hyphenated ethnicity bull stuff.

Teddy Roosevelt correctly said, “any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all”. Google Theodore Roosevelt 1907 for his entire speech. He called it exactly right!

I’m not for Barack Obama, although I’m certainly enjoying his sinking of the Clinton fleet of garbage scows. However, I do not agree with his disavowal of one half of his heritage. If he insists on the hyphenated lineage, then he is half White and half African-American, or to be absolutely accurate, half White, one fourth African and one fourth American. Someone, somewhere coined the word “Halfrican”, to cover this absurdity. I was hoping it would catch on, but apparently so far it hasn’t.

To carry this PC silliness to its conclusion, one might speculate that like most typical American families, the Dunham side of his lineage probably contains enough hyphenated ethnicity to fill a paragraph.

If Obama should decide to give equal status to his White mother and grandparents, who also were responsible for his nurture and development, and become a “non-hyphenated full American”, it might help him in his quest to be an “All American”.

Is it any wonder that Theodore Roosevelt rallied against this nonsense?
