The dems aren’t doing so hot either.

umm..hello...it is very similar to running a business. Come on, isn’t that self evident?

Have you ever owned/run a major business?
To: JustaDumbBlonde
I am in the process of starting my own business now. Come on, the similarities are obvious...it’s just that the government takes advantage of people’s willingness to get a freebee whereas businesses have to be more bottom line, which makes my point about Romney’s business experience being great for government.

A business is generally a for-profit operation. The government is not. A business operates under the expectations and desires of the owner(s), and the government does not. A government has firmly entrenched career employees that do not change with an administration. The government is not a cohesive grouping of folks all aiming for the same goal. The list goes on. A business does not operate like a government does.
I can't argue with the premise that Romney is a very successful businessman. I disagree, however, that this positive feature of his necessarily qualifies him to be President of the United States.
My very best wishes to you in your business venture. There is nothing quite as satisfying and enjoyable as being your own boss. Now go out there and create a bunch of jobs!

The original republican party was probably started in exactly the same way, as a faction of the Whigs.

thanks...I do think you are making my point why a good business man is so neccessary for our government. The more it is run like a business, the better for all.

“Now that you mention it, SPECTRE would have been very cool!!!”
Except for its association with a certain senator.

A good businessman understands many things that your average politician does not, but since there are very few similarities between the two, your point has not been confirmed.

Not voting Republican = Voting Democrat Clear enough? Not voting R takes 1 vote away from the R's, however voting D takes one away from R and adds one to the D's.
Twice the punishment and well deserved at this point.
Voting 3rd party shows the vote is available but is feeling unloved.

My three siblings are alcoholics, two died from it, and my first husband was an alcoholic and died from that. Sooo, you can see why I’d just as soon leave it alone.
