I don’t. There are major distinctions. Dole was running against an incumbent with a peacetime booming economy. McCain is a better campaigner than Dole - he takes lots of questions, sometimes holding 5 or 6 events a day, with press availibility after every event, and he literally has to be pulled back onto the bus to get him to his next event he is so engaged in campaigning. Dole had a third party with traction siphoning off votes.
