Come on people, lets not be total morons. Youd choose Hillary Clinton or chance her election with a write-in instead of voting for someone who is, at least, conservative on most positions No, total morons are what we have a lot of here. Screaming, tantrum throwing toddlers that somehow think that if they hold their breath long enough, what they WANT will magically happen. GROW UP TODDLERS! In the adult world, you don't get to either A) Throw a tantrum. B) Run home to Mommy when the game is not like you please.

It wasn’t amnesty, and there is no reason to repudiate a sensible plan allowing illegal immigrants to obtain citizenship. Tonights results prove that.

Time to start putting together a new conservative party. While I still hold the slimmest of hopes for a brokered convention and a compromise candidate who has not been overexposed by that point, if it comes down to McPain versus the Witch, I will just try to play on the fears of Her Heinous being President. "You know she's going to win anyway, why not keep her in check with a Republican Congress?" becomes my new bumper sticker.
A Hillary presidency will rebuild our party faster and better than an Obama one, or a McCain one would. We would have won in 1996, if we had not nominated some old man whose "turn it was".

I never thought I would see the day when I would not walk through broken glass to vote against HRC. However, if McLame wins I am afraid that that day has arrived.

Hi everyone. First time I have posted on here, but I have been what I think you call a “lurker” for a long time. I guess I jumped in tonight because I at least wanted to comiserate with some people who might understand.
What can I say? I am numb. I live in Florida and I feel like I have just been at the “site of the murder”. I have always been interested in politics, always been conservative. In fact, majored in Poli Sci in college. I even went to south FL in 2000 and helped with the anti Sore Loserman protests. I have never before been like this. I honestly have no idea what I am going to do come November.
GWB has been on many fronts a disappointment to me. Not bashing him, I think he is a good man but I would be lying if I said I wasnt disappointed. Then this election cycle started. I started out thinking that Fred was going to be the savior. Then when he went down, I said to myself, okay, Romney isnt all that bad, and Rudy at least promises to act conservative, and he cant go back on that promise at least in his first term, if he hopes to have a second.
But now I just dont know. I would NEVER vote for the Sea-Hag or Obama, but I dont know if I could vote for McCain either. The guy has spent the better part of the last decade giving the proverbial finger to the right wing of the party. If I vote for him, its like selling my soul to the devil. The alternative is to do nothing or write in someone with no chance, and watch the Devil herself take the Presidency.
How did this happen to the party of Reagan?

To: Jim Robinson
If I had to vote for either McLiberal or Ms. Rodham, I’ll vote a third party - maybe the Southern Independence Party.
I am NEVER going to vote for a RINO nor a SOCIALIST! If the GOP doesn’t want to SUPPORT CONSERVATIVES, I think it is time to CREATE a CONSERVATIVE PARTY - AmericaFreedomParty!
Lets see if Michael Steele would be our (AFP) presidental candidate with Duncan Hunter as the VP! The GOP is now going to MERGE with the DEMS, so we need to start a party.

It sure was and still is an amnesty plan. It also makes no sense.

Third Party.
If viable (reputable candidate and widespread ballot-qualified to theoretically reach and exceed the Electoral College vote total to win). In which case, I will use terminology that benefits the cause, and refer to it as Independent Conservative Alternative, rather than "Third Party" due to America's allergy to anything outside of the two, mainstream, MSM-dictated "choices" every four years.

The country will get what it wants, not what it deserves. Remember sinners in the hands of an angry God? That same God was willing to save Sodom and Gomorrah if there were 5 righteous people in town. So, even if Mrs. Clinton were to become POTUS, America would still not be getting what she deserves, not while abortion is legal.

Me too.
My first vote for pres was for Reagan.
I held my nose and voted for Bush I and II, but McCain is more than I can stomach. I truly believe he is insane. Not trying to be funny.
To: Jim Robinson
As Mother McCain said, hold my noise and vote for McCain.
I can’t not vote, I can’t vote for a Democrat.
This is the first time in 50 years I have not voted my
conscience. God help us.
To: SoCalTransplant
How did this happen to the party of Reagan?I wish I could answer that question, I really do. The only conceivable response I can give is that the Republican Party has been moving to the 'left' for years now--and this is the result. Sigh.
Having said that, even though McCain was one of my last choices--I could never, EVER sleep at night if I didn't vote for him--and helped put Slick Hillie in the White House.
And this is coming from someone who repeats ad nauseum on here,,,that liberal Republicans are more dangerous than liberal democrats,,,,because liberal Republicans BLUR THE DISTINCTION between conservatism and liberalism,,,
making liberalism much more acceptable.
BIG SIGH.

Thanks for showing up at the funeral.
Best I can figure it out, we elected a “compassionate conservative” and he has given real conservatism a bad name.
But other people will surely have a different opinion.

I repeat. The average American will not vote for cancer scarred old man to be President of the United States of America. It will not happen. No way! I'll bet you you hard money (how about $1000) that if it comes down to The Evil Witch vs McInsane, McInsane wins. Remember this post, my offer is good up until Nov 3, 2008.
