Considering he’s done quite a bit of damage already, what else could he possibly do as President harm-wise that he hasn’t already in the senate .. v. a Hil or Obama as same?

Maybe. On the other hand, if Hillary or Obama get in there, Republicans in Congress might show some spine and oppose their agenda. On the other hand, McCain might be able to bully the GOP into supporting his left-wing agenda on immigration, taxes, etc.
