This can be blamed on McCain’s partner in amnesty, Mel Martinez, and a the Governor who ran as a conservative and has governed like a liberal, Charlie Crist, obviously a man after McCain’s own heart.

His position on the war is to give illegal combatants constitutional rights. And, even if it would save Chicago, he will not waterboard a terrorist. Now that is a military leader...?

So the liberals are shoving McCennedy down our throats. Heads (Hitlery) we lose, tails (McCennedy) we lose. At least McCain is not a blood relative of Satan.

No, it is time to think of being in the wilderness as we were in 1995. If the Republicans are the minority we can stop any real bills from damaging us. If McCain is in the Presidency he will go along with all his liberal buddies in the Senate and screw us far worse than a Democrat could get away with. I can not vote for this Jackass who considers getting on TV more important than supporting his party on anything. Jackass is not a conservative and he is a terrible republican. Other than the War he has zero republican or conservative values. We will loose America to 20 million illegal Democrat voting illegals and might end up with 40 million before its over with. We will end up with Liberal Judges, Global Warming economy killing laws, and might continue the war on terror but with out wire taps, water boarding or Guantanamo Bay.
I say let the Democrats scare the hell out of the 20 to 30 year olds by showing them what high taxes and Socialism are like. Let our guard down and lets take another 911 hit to wake up Americans to the real threat of Islamic Terrorism. It might be time for shock therapy. We have a lot of young people to young to remember the 1980s when the Democrats were killing us with taxes, big government and a weak military.
We might need to loose a battle in order to win the long term war against Illegals, Socialist and Islamic Jihadist and the MSM.

“The only way I’ll vote for McCain is if he has one foot in the grave, the other on a banana peel and a solid conservative as VP.”
I’ll think about it in those circumstances, but I’d need to see the x-rays.

Republicans can only avoid a repeat of the 1964 or 1996 elections if they come to their senses next Tuesday and get over the fact Romney is a Mormon.
There is no way that McCain will ever beat Hillary.
We can stay home, not vote and Hillary will win.
We can vote for a third party or write in candidate and Hillary will win.
We can hold our noses tightly, vote for John McCain, and Hillary will win.

“It shows one thing: I’m the conservative leader who can unite the party,”
Another quote from this McCain today: “I’m the only one who can lead.” Few candidates would ever make such a statement. Most would at least say they were the best one to lead.
McCain is truly at the edge in many psychological aspects of his personality.
Formed an opinion of him twenty years ago and could never vote for him.

McCain - Feingold, McCain - Kennedy, The Keating Five - 3 strikes and you're out! Besides, the last Naval Academy graduate to become POTUS was Jimmy Carter. ‘Nuff said.

I think a third party would not be a bad idea. I don’t feel that the “leaders” of either major party have the interests of the American public at heart.

Paul will still secure the borders and keep the military strong. Will the other guys? Now you really think Paul will allow our nation to get attacked again? That Islamofascists are going to come over here? That's ludicrious.
This Forum is in total meltdown. FReepers say they will never vote for McCain or the other three guys whatsoever. So what does that leave them? How are you going to vote or form a Conservative Party when the standard-bearers (Hunter and Thompson) couldn't even win in the Republican Party?
Paul is the logical choice here. He is right on EVERYTHING. Unfortunately, he wants to pullout immediately and doesn't call the jihadists the spade they are. But he'll still be better than Hillary and Obama. C'mon now pissant.
To: Aurorales
I am embarrassed to be a registered Republican. Is McCain really the best we have? We've been laughing at the Democrat candidates - the Hildabeast and Osama Barak, but look what the GOP is stuck with now. The only hopes were Thompson and Hunter and they bailed out on us. It looks like the fix is in.
