Sorry, but at every event in Florida they bring up the fact that he has a son serving in Iraq and another one in the USNA. Either John McCain or Cindy mention it. McCain jokes about the fact that his son in the USNA has no demerits and wonders if something is wrong with him or if he is really a McCain. His daughter Meagan accompanies him and McCain says that she just graduated from Columbia, that "bastion of conservative thought," and asks that if anyone has a job for an art history major, see him after the event. Cindy also talks about her work in Bangladesh with Mother Teresa and how she adopted the baby girl with the cleft pallet.
McCain is an old time pol who knows how to pander to his audience.
“McCain is an old time pol who knows how to pander to his audience.”
So they shouldn’t talk about their life? What’s wrong in pointing out they adopted a girl from Bangladesh?
I certainly see nothing wrong with him mentioning his son is serving in Iraq, he should mention that. That’s the main gripe the anti-war crowd has against the war, and this shuts them up.
Romney saying his son are “serving the country by working on his campaign” are the things that don’t help in that regard.
