I’m thinking that with Giuliani endorsing McCain, it makes it even harder to see how Romney can come back.

Romney needed to become the consensus. His conservative platform doesn’t appeal to the moderates naturally, but if they thought he wasn’t all THAT conservative he had a chance, but with McCain as the only other candidate, and with Florida showing that Romney really seems to have a ceiling of support among the general population of republicans.

If I don’t think Giuliani voters would go to Romney, then where was he going to get support? If I don’t think Huckabee voters will go to Romney, where is he going to get support?

I do think most republicans would support Romney if he were the nominee, but I don’t know if he can win in a head-to-head matchup with McCain anymore. Because I am having trouble believing Huckabee and Giuliani took more votes from Romney than from McCain. We’ll find out I guess in the next polls as Rudy drops out.

I was pretty upset when Thompson dropped out, and now this is just worse. If I thought McCain could win, and could be just as conservative as he promises, I still would be depressed a bit about amnesty and all the other things we are going to be stuck with. It’s going to be hard to vote in November knowing that my vote will support things I hate.

I live in Fla. and have for 61 years.

The only reason McCrazy won is because he played it as dirty as he could from push poles to lies to you name it. And, the rinos which have infested the state from the gov. down, supported this bum since he is so weak on immigration and he is chief of the rinos in the senate.

If the other states are like that as well than the entire country is in a world of shi_ and we are all in trouble.

I hate to say it but you are right, especially with Huck still in the race as McCain’s stalking horse. As a Thompson fan this was why I was never too hard on Mitt...I knew we could have much worse, which is what we got now.

Whatever McCain was, if he was, he no longer is. The POW thing and the 83 ACU rating were from actions long ago. The McCain we know now is not that man.

I absolutely believe he will sell out on everything, including the war in Iraq, and cave to the Kennedy wing of the Democrats. We will end up with socialism with conservative windowdressing.

I agree with Radix, If Romney doesn’t pull this out I think it’s time to go underground.

Sorry Romney didn’t win tonite.
