Let’s hope Romney pulls out all the stops during the debate this week.

Even this may not be enough. I've been trying to put my finger on what Romney is missing...I hate to use the word gravitas, but he seems to get too jittery (a la Lamar Alexander), and doesn't seem to give a reassuring demeanor. The successful candidates can put people at ease as well as inspire. I don't think he's been able to combine these qualities.

I hate to toot my own horn but...

Here's my predictions for Florida:

McCain - first
Romney - second
Giuliani - third
Huckabee - fourth
The Nutter - last


This is the victory that will propel John McCain to the Republican nomination and eventually the White House. I also predict Giuliani will drop out by the end of the week and endorse McCain.
