Below is a URL to a good article about Romney:
http://w3.newsmax.com/romney/?s=al&promo_code=43CE-1
I heard Morris, too. What he doesn't get is that it is NOT the REPUBLICANS that are moving to the left---it is the RATS AND SO-CALLED "INDEPENDENTS" CROSSING OVER TO VOTE IN OUR PRIMARIES---SKEWING OUR VOTE!!!
The RNC doesn't get it either. They MISINTERPRET the results of the elections and feed us MORE of what DOESN'T work, e.g. McLame!!!
(I don't mean to be yelling at you...I'm irritated with the idiots at the RNC.)
CONSERVATIVISM WINS!!!
He didn't even try! Is that what your promising for us to look forward to? If Romney gets elected, look forward to more Ruth Bader Ginsburg's because Conservatives would not have a chance at being confirmed?
At least Reagan tried Bork for the SCOTUS, then a different Ginsburg who had to withdraw because he smoked pot, and then that disaster Kennedy - who pretended to be a Conservative until he got on the court.
Sandra Day O'Connor was a disaster because she wanted to be one.
Reagan nominated scores and scores of great judges to the Federal bench. His legacy for that lives on even today.
Romney could have at least said what you said to defend himself - to wit - 'Sure, I acted as a liberal in Massachusetts so I could get elected.'
Instead, he has misrepresented the truth about his flip flops on abortion, gun control, and other issues. Then, he expected us to believe him!
Well, it looks like he might be out of it now anyway. There are still no Conservatives in the race for the GOP.
Hitlary makes McCain look like an angel.
Thank you!

This is how onerom99 writes in previous posts.
If this is what passes as a FReeper these days, then I no longer fit the bill.
WMM
Scrolling back through only the first two pages of his posts, FReepers are morons, fools, delusional, Duncan Hunter is a loser...no wait - a pathetic loser and a lame-ass congressman, Hunter supporters are past delusional and should all be committed, psychopaths, lunatics, and on and on.
I submit to all of you that this is not a FRiend who deserves the name of FReeper. This is a newbie, less than 1 year old, who seems to have slipped through the cracks.
Don't be silly. Cuban-Americans voted largely for McCain because of his stance on illegal immigration, i.e., amnesty. They wanted to show solidarity with the estimated 1 million illegal aliens in Florida, most of whom are Hispanic.
If McCain is successful in granting permanent legal status to the 12 to 20 million illegals in this country who in turn will be able to sponsor an estimated 66 million [based on 12 million illegal aliens] LEGAL IMMIGRANTS who will then come in thru chain migration, i.e., family reunification, over the ensuing 20 years, the open border types will be able to get their way thru the ballot box using our democratic institutions to destroy this country as we know it. The Balkanization of this country along cultural and linguistic lines is already happening and will accelerate with this massive influx of immigrants.
Immigrants [including my wife] account for one in eight U.S. residents, the highest level in 80 years. In 1970 it was one in 21; in 1980 it was one in 16; and in 1990 it was one in 13. In the next tens years, without amnesty, it will be one in 7, the highest it has ever been in our history as a nation. Since 2000, 10.3 million immigrants have arrived--the highest seven year period in our history. More than half of post-2000 arrivals (5.6 million) are estimated to be illegal aliens.
Your right, another difference between McCain and Dole is the latter is honorable.
Thanks for that info... did you hear any more on this?
Only that one candidate has swung from being an Episcopalian to being a “Baptist” to whom baptism “wasn’t important” to his spiritual life. The other has been a life-long member or one faith and shows some stability in that regard. That this faith is also not a true Christian faith is a concern; however, considering who all is running, I really don’t think it is. Basically, in Mitt, we are getting a stable family man with a good business background and some executive branch experience. McCain has good points too; however, his bad points outweigh his good.
You appear real versed in the Army's new field manual and doctrine...I'm a former Navy guy who worked with Marines. I believe, however, that the new alignment you speak about streamlines the C3 aspects of warfare and works well in the global war on terror. Most folks who've never experienced military service (Hillary, Obama, Edwards, Romney and Huckabee) do not understand the complexity involved (Bill Clinton's fiasco in Somalia stands out as an example).
The 1986 amnesty act did not grant automatic amnesty to everyone who applied. You had to pay application fees, have a background check [three misdemeanors or a felony excluded you], learn English, have a physical, register for the draft, etc. Read the bill. I have read both the 2006 amnesty bill that passed the senate [S. 2611] and the McCain-Kennedy bill that got shot down. It is remarkable how much of the language is similar to the 1986 act, probably written by same immigration lawyers.
The McCain-Kennedy bill granted legal status to everyone who applied after just a 24 hour period based on a quick background check. It even allowed absconders to stay despite the fact they had already been thru the entire legal process and were ordered deported. McCain, Kennedy, Obama, and Hillary all hold the same position on amnesty, which is why they all voted together on both the 2006 and 2007 bills.
Undeniably Amnesty: The Cornerstone of the Senate's Immigration Proposal
I think a lot of people will be echoing this conclusion from RedState’s Erick Erickson:
Tonight was not a failure of conservatism, but a triumph of military voters who have made their home in the Republican Party because we are the party of a strong national defense.
In both South Carolina and Florida, they won it for McCain. In the grand coalition of the GOP, we’ve talked about social conservatives and fiscal conservatives. We’ve all ignored the military voters, except John McCain. And he won them big. His message resonated.
Jon let me explain about McCain...Think of this: When John McCain’s plane went down he broke two arms..The Vietnamese people caught him and beat him so severely that his shoulder was crushed..No medical care was given and he was thrown into prison..It took a month for the North Vietnamese to realize that his father was a Rear Admiral in charge of the Pacific Fleet. Then, they gave him some medical care- very inadequate- in a Chinese Hospital..NcCain was a fearless leader while in prison. Even when offered freedom in a prisoner exchange he refused saying he wanted all the men released, so he stayed in prison. He was beaten and tortured constantly but still the N Vietnamese could not break him...Finally after one more torture session he said he could not take it anymore and signed the ‘confession’ but he used their language to show that it was not his own thinking when he signed it..
If the North Vietnamese used his words then so be it...No one could have stopped them. As for the bitter veterans who were angry at him, all they had to do was stop and think this guy has been in a North Vietnamese hell-hole of a prison for years and it is understandable that he was beaten and tortured and signed a false confession...That in no way lowers him to a Jane Fonda Status...John was a hero to his fellow prisoners and was awarded the Navy Cross when he returned hime...
For further reading on this, read his biography at Wikipedia..it is very enlightening...
Also want to add that being in combat and being in a P.O.W. prison can shape a man’s thinking for the rest of his life..It doesn’t mean he goes crazy, but it shows up in many ‘sane’ ways...For example- as that Wikipedia article points oput- John always disliked authority and authoritarian figures...he rebelled against them, from the Naval Academy days, and probbly to the present day in part..He prefers to do his own thinking, for better or worse..He will do well to work with friends and colleagues, vs taking orders on how to campaign or what to say on the campaign trail...John McCain is an authentic American hero, his political views notwithstanding...
Glad your house got a kick out of it!
That expired in ‘03.
How is impugning the motives of small farmers whose land is being destroyed by illegal invaders, and trying to deracinate the 1st Amendment from our Constitution, standing up to authority figures?
Nope, more likely Rudy, since he’s angling...
Interesting, since Dennis Miller has been pushing a Giuliani/McCain ticket the past week or so. I wonder how he will react to a flipped ticket.
