It's not so much that McCain isn't a conservative. He isn't really a liberal, either.
He's an opportunist. Meaning he is also disloyal and not very trustworthy.

Huckabee was on Hannity today and said his money is OK to compete on Feb 5. He is actually making national radio advertising buys on Hannity and he is bringing back some of the employees laid off this week (he said he did not need so many for only one state). Of course Huckabee has been working with less for a long time, so he needs less. take it for what it is worth.

Very few Freepers are for McCain, but there are many, many Romney fans - and it sickens me.
Romney is no Conservative. He is a liberal, who is pro-gun control, pro-gay rights, and pro-abortion.
So many Freepers have willingly consumed the Mitt Kool Aid. It is depressing and annoying.
The only hope is for a brokered GOP convention.
Barring that - Gomer Huckster, Rooty, McInsane, and the Pro-Abortion Governor from Massachusetts can go take a long walk off a short pier.

Bush supported the amnesty bill and it never reached his desk due to popular uproar, there is no reason to believe McCain will see that bill either.
