The Republican Party needs to follow Romney's lead and change hearts, not add another layer of Federal Law. You mean like government-mandated health care??? With taxpayer-funded $50 abortions?

You mean the voters in the primary should have weeded the RINOS out...right? Yes, of course. We just saw it happen right here on FR........again! We had a chance to support two conservatives (Hunter and Thompson) but many in the GOP wouldn't even support them in the primary.
Now, look at what we have left in our party to choose from. Nothing buy RINOS/LIBERALS. IF GOP posters on a "conservative" forum won't even support conservatives, it's no wonder that John Q. and Jane Public won't. Our candidates don't look much better than the RAT candidates do, and this is going to be the most important election of our lives. We've moved beyond the "lesser of two evils."

You mean like government-mandated health care??? It beats the heck out of government provided health care. Most of the people I know without health insurance choose to be uninsured because they don't want to pay for it. My husband and I are sick of subsidizing the costs of health care for those who choose to not to be responsible for themselves.
We can disagree with the details but I think Romney opened up the discussion.

The New York Republican Party, displaying its unique committment to competitive elections, is suing to delist Duncan Hunter, Fred Thompson and Alan Keyes from the ballot next week.
It will be interesting to see how many votes Hunter and Thompson receive if their names remain on the ballot.

So this is Liz Cheney, not Lez Cheney.

“I am, a true conservative and by that I mean I don’t want the government interfering in my life.”
I did not know there was two of us left.
Too many ‘conservatives’ even within this forum, beg for government interference for their own ends. Less taxes, less spending, less regulation, less government interfernece in the day to day lifes of Americans is what true conservatism represents.
