An asteriod is going to pass by Earth at a distance of 340,000 miles on Tuesday morning, January 29th, at 3:33 AM Eastern time. NASA claims that it’s not a threat to Earth, although I heard one “renegade” scientist say it has a 50/50 chance of hitting our planet. In the unlikely event it were to hit, it would cause a crater three miles wide. The explosion would be the equivalent of 1,500 megatons. Any chance it could hit Brattleboro, Vermont?

Don’t get me all excited like that! When it passes us by I will now be highly disappointed! :-)
