No offense to the local constables , but I will put $5.00 on the Secret Service , The officers should follow the example of the U.S. Marshalls ordered to arrest Nathan Bedford Forrest , they just couldn’t seem to locate him and the warrant is now in the U.S.Marshalls museum , unserved .

I have made a concerted effort to buy not to buy anything produced in Vermont. The catalogs that I have bought from in the past are dumped in the garbage. When I buy maple syrup I check the label to make sure it was not produced there. I wish the secessionists luck. I hope they succeed.

I was just posting on another thread about Ron Paul and Pat Buchanon. That version of Conservatism died after WWII, yet someone always tries to bring it back. It died because it was wrong on international issues. It died because it could not accept reality, no matter how many times it was asked to.

Most adherents have gone to the Libertarian party and that is where they belong. The Republicans hit the eject button. There is soon to be another effort and ejection and conservatives will join the fray.

It is wise to be aware of the past, but live in the present and look to the future.
