WHen he said that, THompson was still in the race, and he even gave specific examples for EACH of the 4 candidates that made them not a “down the line” conservative, including Thompson.

Rush sees flaws in every candidate. However, in that same monologue he explained why Romney was acceptable while McCain was NOT acceptable.

btw if the choice is Romney or Mccain, its romney hands down. “neither” would also be an acceptable answer.

You are ignoring the point I made.
For weeks Romney’s supporters were all over this board trying to claim that when Rush said “well, there’s one conservative” that he was speaking of their guy. He made it clear he wasn;t speaking of Romney on several occassions. However, the Mitt-wits were screaming at the top of their lungs that ROmney is a conservative, he’s a Reagan conservative (despite disavoing Reagan years ago), he’s a Rush conservative, etc.

Simply put - he’s not.

Take him for what he is, and if he’s your guy then that is your choice to make.
But please, stop making him out to be more conservative than he is, and please stop trying to re-define conservatism so that he fits.
