From the Ben & Jerry’s website (decontaminated for your viewing):

“Gosh, Ben can really hit a nerve with some of the political stuff he says! We get calls and e-mails from all sorts of folks on the varried issues he brings up - We like the debate!

There are a couple things we’d like to explain:

1. While Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield co-founded Ben & Jerry’s, they are no longer owners of the company. When they speak they do so as private citizens or as representatives of one of the organizations they are involved with like True Majority (http://www.truemajority.org), Business Leaders for Sensible Priorities (http://www.commondreams.org), or the Peace and Justice Center here in Burlington, VT. These organizations are working to redirect national priorities toward creative, nonviolent solutions to social problems. From time to time Jerry and Ben do participate in activities relating to Ben & Jerry’s’ Social Mission such as a PartnerShop opening or the launch of our One Sweet Whirled campaign against global warming. We strongly support both Jerry’s and Ben’s right to speak on any subject of their choosing. However, as a matter of record, when they express their political opinions, regardless of what those opinions are, they do so as private individuals or on behalf of these organizations, not as representatives of Ben & Jerry’s.

2. That being said, Ben & Jerry’s continues to support the progressive principles on which the company was founded. Ben & Jerry’s has a progressive, nonpartisan Social Mission that seeks to meet human needs and eliminate injustices in our local, national and international communities. We have long supported nonviolent initiatives that seek to achieve peace. In all of our dealings, we are guided by a mission statement which makes the community’s quality of life integral to and inseparable from our product and financial goals.”

The original Moonbats are no longer there but the company still gives support to Moonbat causes.

It used to be a FReeper tradition to share substantive information especially at relevant points in time.

It still is. You posted that extensive thread killing list of links at least 21 times today. I didn't count how many times you posted it yesterday. That's spamming, not sharing "substantive information".
Thanks.

Whatever you say.

I don't see any of those threads dying that weren't already dead though. Most have a few hundred posts following mine. This was a particularly relevant day to get it out and I didn't post it anywhere near that many times yesterday. Let's keep the facts straight shall we?

Just sayin'.

You’d be surprised all the moonbat causes big companies give to.

If we boycotted all of them, including Hollywood, we’d have a pretty boring life. Life without Hines Ketchup would be hell. ;o)

When support for FDT was growing, you guys made it tough on anyone who did not share the opinion that Fred was the second coming of RWR. So, I stopped posting here. I never stopped being a Republican supporter. The way I see it, we have to stop the creep of socialism that the ‘rats are offering. I happen to be a loyal Republican, and I’ll work through the party to push it to the RIGHT.

And I suggest we all do the same — rather than abandon the only party that fights for at least some of the issues we care about. And there is always hope that the party will veer right with another RWR-like candidate in the future.

AC,

Don’t put me in that class...I’ve been very careful to not blatantly bash other candidates (well, I did a little yesterday in retaliation). As an old FReeper friend, I’d expect the same from you.

Besides...I signed up on Mitt’s site today. :-) No money, no volunteer work...yet.

We’ll see how conservative he really is...we’ve been let down a lot.

Stay in touch. I welcome you to any thread.

“Life without Hines Ketchup would be hell.”

Unless I’m at a restaurant, I don’t eat Heinz ketchup.

You know ‘Maxine’ from the birthday, christmas, cards????

I love ‘Maxine’.....she once said:

“this is the flag of our country, it is to fly on a staff, over a building, not to tromped on, spit on, worn as a scarf. If you don’t like America as it is, LEAVE and don’t let the paddle hit ya in the A$$ while doing it”

She has so many sayings, I love her cards....
