Again, when they’re capable that’s the idea. The hope is they will indeed be capable soon, I agree they have to step up and do their part and right now, as we’ve done ours. Seems they’re making that progress now more than ever before, and I’ll trust Petraeus and the generals on the ground for letting the American people know when that point is reached.

And clearly we are very close since we have begun withdrawing some combat units.

We just need to be careful to recognize when our role has changed and we can let the Iraqi's take over the responsibility of defending their own nation, which they are capable of doing.

Maybe you’re thinking of willing. They’re close to capable, but they’re not quite there yet.
