yep.
Seems like both parties are bringing us closer to the edge.
The Republicans just take a little more time.
With Hunter and Thompson out, that leaves only poor choices. I'd take third party before Huckabee or McCain (they represent 70% of what is wrong with the Republican party - Rudy represents the other 30%, and Rudy is done. For me, that leaves Paul and Romney, and I'm strongly leaning towards Paul (in spite of his foreign policy and gold standard views).
I’m a Ron Paul guy 100%, but this is too bad. I see Fred as the same kind of reluctant candidate called to serve that Ron Paul is.
As an aside, I wish Carl Cameron would “break” his freakin head open. That guy is annoying!
And clearly we are very close since we have begun withdrawing some combat units.
We just need to be careful to recognize when our role has changed and we can let the Iraqi's take over the responsibility of defending their own nation, which they are capable of doing.
Now, that would be a great idea!
welcome to the party!
I’ll have what you’re smoking. Ron Paul is the only Republican who could beat Hillary in all 50 States.
Can you imagine a more clearly defined battle between US and THEM? How about GOOD and EVIL? Or maybe LIBERTY and SOCIALISM.
I didn’t think so!
“Perhaps. But in the end, the voters will elect Mitt over Hillary, for many, many reasons, the first of which is that over 45% of the electorate have publicly stated their aversion. That’s not going to change. Many people, at a gut level, recognize her for the abject phony which she most certainly is.”
Did you realize these same polls place Romney’s unfavorables even higher?
“The Republicans just take a little more time.”
I think the last few years have disproven that... Bush has led this nation down a path towards bigger government, more government power, and massive programs at a rate Bill Clinton couldn’t even have dreamed of.
You said it.
If you glance at any of my post history in forum, you will clearly see my position on the matter.
Good luck to you.
Thanks, excellent info. Although I was a Hunter supporter,
I have had a gut feeling about Mitt all along. Couldn’t give a hoot about the rest.
I will write in Freds name.
The only problem Salvation is that when Hillary wins the presidency, we will miss your good jabs at Hillary as you will not be able to complain about her winning because you were part of her winning. That is truly the shame of it all.
Here’s the problem my FRiend, Mitt is no less of a phony than Hillary is. In time, people will see how slimy and dishonest Mitt is and conclude that one’s no better than the other in the slime department. If the democrats turn out in greater numbers than republicans, Hillary wins. Will that happen? I believe it will because many of the socons and evangelicals will not vote this election if Mitt gets the nod. My prediction is that Hillary will be the next president of the US. If Mitt is the nominee it becomes clear that the republican party has decided to abandoned its conservative principles that has served them so well for so long. Mark my words, if Mitt is the republican nominee, and Hillary is the democrat nominee, say hello to President Rodman in 2009.
Well put, couldn't agree more.
“Based on what evidence?”
Romney was gov of MA when I lived there, he was fighting for us conservatives. Its a lot different than being a moderate from Arkansas or Arizona. His business sense is enough to tell me he will not govern like a lib.
