Breaking news on FOX: Fred Thompson quits
Fox News ^

Posted on 01/22/2008 11:17:25 AM PST by tpanther

Carl Cameron says it'll become offical sometime later this week.

Oh well, we're doomed. Let's hope it'll be minimal damage until 2012.

["Romney is the smartest guy in the room. We all know it."]

LOL good one, that is a knee slapper.

Yes. All the other candidates earned simultaneous JDS and MBA's from Havard, graduating at the top of the class.

Hunter and Thompson are on the ballot in California. Mail-in ballots were mailed out Jan. 6th. Mail-in ballots are already out for Arizona, Florida, New Jersey, New York and Oregon.

I’m not impressed. Harvard sucks. But that’s just my opinion.

If you read further down, you can see that I noted some things to base my opinion on.

But what do I know, Al Gore went to Harvard and got a nobel peace prize.

Also in my opinion, going to Harvard means you are a rich elitist, he must have had a father in politics or something along those lines...

Care to give any substantive reasons? I’d honestly like to hear some.

Hillary will beat Mitt like a drum.

Perhaps. But in the end, the voters will elect Mitt over Hillary, for many, many reasons, the first of which is that over 45% of the electorate have publicly stated their aversion. That's not going to change. Many people, at a gut level, recognize her for the abject phony which she most certainly is.

Sounds cute, but we're not quite there yet. Right now, the only reason you think you can afford the luxury of entertaining that whim, is because we are, due to a position of strength - OUR strength, able to hand over control of areas in a deliberate, relatively seamless manner....that is, for an area inundated with terrorists dressed like civilians, and brass that'd rather prosecute our forces than hunt theirs down.

Well, that was alot of meaningless rhetoric!

The fact is the Iraqi's are capable of defending themselves and much of what is being called terrorism is simply criminal activity by gangs.

The wolf is still at their door. If we just walked away before they're ready, as Reidlosi and the Paulettes suggest, THEN they get their Vietnam aftermath, with millions, not thousands, dead, with Israel just one of many ground zeroes.

Oh, cut it out!

There is no North Vietnamese Army ready to swoop in and conquer the country.

As for Israel, there isn't a nation in the Middle East she couldn't defeat on her own.

So, you’d rather have Hillary than Romney? Think about it.

I will never vote for McCain and I don’t understand how any conservative would vote for the lunatic.

I think with McCain, Giuliani and Romney still in the hunt, there wasn’t a lot of room for another RINO such as Gen. Powell (strong on defense, squishy on other conservative issues). Gingrich, on the other hand, would be the only real conservative left in the race. Maybe conservatives are just fed up with government and public service. Can’t say I blame ‘em.

Reagan was well grounded and convincing. Paul comes across like a lunatic.

Have you ever attended a college or university? Have you ever earned a JDS or MBA? Regardless of what your opinion might be, these achievements place Romney in at least the top 5% of our citizenry. Followed by his business success, I would place him in the top 1% of achievers. Your comments about Gore, the Nobel Prize, Harvard elitism, etc. lead me to conclude that you have a lot to learn yourself.

lol. Wooo now I’m impressed. Al Gore isn’t the brightest Harvard cornflake in the box, Hope you aren’t actually of the impression that he is a smart cookie because he went to harvard and won a Nobel Prize.

Ok MTR. A question for you, Have you ever met an ‘educated’ snob that has no clue about reality and was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, who would ‘consult his lawyers’ before making a decision?

Sorry but no thanks. But go ahead and support your man on the issues, don’t tell me how edumacated and rich he is and imply that I should vote for him because I am a dumbass. It don’t mean crapo to most Americans and is condescending.
