I would never endorse someone who supported limiting the 1st amendment .... like Fred Thompson when he voted for and endorsed the McCain / Feingold act.

Thompson endorsed McCain/Feingold? If ever there was a ripping to the Republican party it was McCain/Feingold. I really, really hope for Fred’s sake, if he does withdraw, that he DOES NOT put his support towards his ‘friend’ McCain. Then I will never be able to call him a conservative. Somewhere I heard that he might and it may have just been hearsay, but I am very much hoping this is all it is. However it was a while back like three weeks ago.
