NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

neither will the GIANTS
Yep—I was impressed with the whole team, but Rivers showed himself to be a warrior. I hope you were impressed with my Giants as well.
And most of the hysterical screamers STILL don't know what the rule was. :)
Definitely I was! It was a GREAT DAY for football all around. I can't wait for the Big Game! The Pats/Giants face-off promises to be most exciting!
Applies to quite a number of materials, like peroxide (where it is quite pronounced), milk, and many plastics.
Keep in mind, that the 1st Amendment is irrelevant to the issue of whether or not your posts are spam. Sometimes your graphics are amusing...sometimes they are long, excessively frequent, and mildly irritating - but the real issue is simply that we are all guests in someone elses forum and the 1st Amendment simply doesn't even potentially apply unless the owner of this forum wants you to post the stuff and the government is for some reason trying to ban it through force of law.
O.K. I'll make another comment on this. :)
They didn't violate the warning. That is clear to anyone literate if they read the warning. ...Then again, Belichick says he didn't see the letter, anyway, so it's just another level of irrelevant.
Yes. Anything that would down the runner by contact in-bounds would end the play before he could go out of bounds. If he wasn't touched, then he still established position on the field of play.
Also I understand Free Republic is a private site and the owner or his mods can do as they please and toss me out for whatever reasons they wish. As I understand it, Free Republic stands for and supports the US Constitution with Freedom, Justice and the American Way. I feel the same and believe my views express that over these years I have been a member.
However, I do hope there is a sense of the 1st Amendment alive here where one is not banned simply for their using photos or graphics to express their views.
Going back over this very thread I find certain posters using the very exact phrase not twice, not thrice, but numerous times over and over again. Some posters use the very same photo or graphic over and over again on just about each and every post of theirs. That, I would think, could be considered spam. Yet when I use a variety of many different photos or graphics, I am accused of spamming.
Some on FR post photos or graphics of huge size, 2 and 3 megs plus in size that a long time to load even for my cable connection. That again, I would consider spam.
I was on dial-up for many years and know what it feels like, so that is why I try to make all my pix posted gifs and as small as I can make them so they still make sense. When I first moved over to cable ISP, I still had my dial-up. I found the small gifs loaded pretty fast on dial-up. Yet when I post these small gifs, I am called a spammer.
A lot of FReeper have mailed me supporting my post and as far as I can tell, there are only a few wanting me stopped or banned. Well, I can say there are some poster here on FR that I don't care for either, but when I come upon their post, I just scroll past and go on about my lurking. I don't actively wish them banned or stopped from making their views known.
So, maybe it is me being too nice a guy, but I may end up being banned by those few hating me, but I'll go down with my flag, my opinion and my pixs still waving.
The Patriots will have a game of experience with the Giants...which helps them figure out how their players match up and what to exploit. On the other hand, Manning is playing well enough that taking away "the thing they do best" isn't going to be enough. He's proven that lately, at least, he CAN win games if it's put on him to do so.
Because that's what it takes to get a balanced number of bets against the Patriots. It is all perception.
I have always enjoyed them. I've never seen anything offensive or spam-like about them. They're you and they're cleverly unique.
The NFL threads won't be the same without them. :(
Now, ya'll all take that to heart... and the problem will be solved.
BTW thanks for the Baghdad snow bikini photos, they really make the office here sparkle. All the guys say so!
Thanks, that makes sense — although I have noted that just coming down in-bounds with two feet and then getting whacked with the ball coming out doesn’t establish position on the field (the old “football move” rule).
You have to wonder on many O/B plays whether the receiver really has “possession” before leaving the field...
There are multiple ways to look at that...like noting how most of the teams they played melted down after playing them. For the Regular season, most opponents, regardless of their records, also lost the next game, and several, the game after that. The Cowboys were disfunctional until late in the game, when they came back against the Viking, and the other three teams that won, did so against the Jets and the Dolphins...two of those three, barely. More than one team had a complete melt-down and extended losing streak after losing to the Patriots.
FR completely lacks any humor now. I suspect it may be that Jim/Admins are coming to the realization that nominating a true conservative as the Republican nominee is an impossibility. Has been my entire life to boot. Not sure why it should come as a surprise, but apparently many people as old as I haven;t figured this reality out yet.
Now before I hear “Ronald Reagan was ....”, bear in mind I know a lot about Reagan and his record. To describe it as conservative just isn’t even REMOTELY accurate. Bush has been a far better conservative than Reagan was. I’ll be banned at some point for pointing this out too.
Yup. Though they are more likely to blow out a team that their defense cannot dominate (reality and perception)...and their defense, though doing better lately, isn't nearly as dominant as in say, 2001 and 2003.
How can the Pats NOT win it all? They have the defensive playbook of every NFL team. They will never live the shame of this down and no matter how many they win in a row, a question will always be there.
I had to laugh yesterday at the end of the Pats game when one of the announcers said something to the affect, “The “cameragate scandal is a distant memory”. I was with 4 other guys and we all looked at each other at the same time and burst out laughing.
Actually twice although they never confiscated the camera the first time.
Tigris. I think the Tiber is in Italy and I did live there once...when I was in my oh, so charming and dignified adolescence.
GREAT to see you back!
