Hey, small gov’t is a *good* thing. If Ron Paul wasn’t such a nutter and believed in keeping America strong and safe (which includes closing our borders), he would have had my vote. Protecting this country from her enemies is the most important issue to me. Everything else runs a distant second. Troop withdrawal and destabilization of the middle east isn’t the way to do it.
I know this sounds melodramatic, but I am afraid we may be witnessing America’s downfall and I am sickened.

RP does believe in closing our borders and ending all entitlements to illegals, including birthright citizenship. He also very strongly believes in protecting America and Americans, with a strong defense. He does not believe that the way to do it is with UNDECLARED wars. He fully supports any war that Congress declares as such. I think that is a big misunderstanding of his policies by a great many people. Most people don’t get past his concern with us trying to free the world and then supporting them. We have no legal right or basis for doing so.
