AP | Jan. 19, 2008 | Breaking News

Sen. John McCain won Saturday's South Carolina Republican presidential primary, AP projects.

Fox News and NBC News exit polls ranked the economy as the top concern among South Carolina primary voters, followed by illegal immigration, the war in Iraq, and terrorism.

Columnist and Weekly Standard Editor William Kristol commenting on Saturday's results on the Fox News Channel said that the Republican field is now winnowing down to just three viable candidates: McCain, Mitt Romney, and Rudy Giuliani.

——————Ladies and gentlemen, meet your Republican nominee for President: Senator John McCain

John McCain - Leadership for America——————

*hangs head in same* I am ashamed to think that that’s the future.

As a conservative, why has the republican party forsaken me? Why doesn’t the republican party want my vote?

Florida is a 4 way horse race.
Rudy, Mitt, McKennedy, Huck....

I do not see how Republicans can possibly go with McKennedy or Huck. I am baffled.

It must be the stupid factor.

I think he would. I think the Lefies are scared of Mitt. He has won every debate...

I think a Mitt/Fred or a Mitt/Rudy ticket is a winner.

Because the conservatives let us down. They caved and allowed the moderates to take over. As much as I regret believing this, Bush is the main culprit.

Right now as conservatives we are sunk. It looks as if you're going to get a dem in the WH, so I suggest you prepare for this. Hillary or Obama, which one probably depends on who can play the dirtiest politics.

I can’t believe voters don’t remember McCain was actually considering the VP slot with John Kerry in ‘04!!

Wonder if McCain will extend the same offer to Kerry for the Republican Ticket.

My gut has always told me McCain is one mean-spirited SOB.

He’s playing his Military card just like John Kerry - both cut from the same cloth and both living and breathing to be POTUS.

Need to double up on my blood pressure meds!

I could make the argument we need her to swing the pendulum so it can motivate the gop to go in the ronny direction again for 2012 but then somebody else would make the argument that she would gut the supreme court with 1-2 picks.
Maybe if we cant get Fred in its over regardless.

A slight corection....

"I think the Lefties are scared of Mitt. He has won every debate...I think a Mitt/Fred or a Mitt/Rudy ticket is a winner."

If Mitt and Fred offcially team up this week BEFORE Floriduh, they would win and stop mccainiacism from spreading. I have my doubts if fred would do that to his long time friend maccain.

McCain is John Kerry in disguise.

While GWB may have disappointed me on a number of issues during his adminstration, McCain’s vicious, hateful streak against President Bush is evident.

He’s a Bush Basher in it’s highest form.

While he isn’t claiming he invented the Internet, he is claiming he developed the surge stadegy in Iraq.

He’s a DEMO-RINO if I have ever seen one and I for one, ain’t riding on his train.

Yes they would. - Welcome it, and remind them that the next two supremes to retire are going to be Souter and Ginsburg.

How can you get worse than that?

My Number One priority is the win the war.

McCain knows how to do it.

That’s really the only choice I can see.

4 years of carter got us 8 years of reagan.

If McCain gets the nomination, that’s all I have left to hold onto. Everything else has been taken away.

Perhaps if Paul runs on the libertarian ticket, I may well take that instead. I don’t particularly want to vote for hill or obama, but I just can’t allow McCain’s liberalism and known stances to be branded as conservatism and let “one of our guys” be the one to ruin the country. Let them do it. We can rebuild..

McCain got the independents in SC big time but I don’t think he’ll do so well where he has to actually face GOP voters only. At least I hope not...

That is actually great news, it means Independents cannot stomach Hillary.

I Can’t stand McCain due to his 1st amemdnment and immigration policies but if his scotus picks are 10% better than Hitlery’s....

Conservatives need less of this crap too! You might as well just go vote for Hillary, we don't need you, much less want you.

Mitt/Fred is a winner, Mitt/Rudy is a northeast lib ticket that Hillary can beat.

Sorry, but I’m not a democrat nor a “DUmmie”. I see as usual if you don’t follow the narrow-minded ways you are accused of being a troll or a DUer.

I didn’t know Bush was “Oprahs kid”, I was referring to Bush if you would read correctly.

-—————Conservatives need less of this crap too!-—————

My original choices were Hunter/Fred. But that clearly isn’t going to happen.

———You might as well just go vote for Hillary—————

Depending on who gets the nomination, I’ll consider it. McCain is unelectable in my eyes.

If Liberalism is to be passed down as law from the president, I do not want it coming from someone the media is labeling as a conservative.

I *WILL* vote against McCain.
