To: Timeout

I just don’t see McCain winning the nomination, regardless. It seems to me he tops out at 30-35% max. After that, too many folks despise him - I hope!

For me, it remains as it has for some time. If Huckabee gets the nod, I don’t vote for President. If McCain gets the nod, I vote for the democrat for President.

A Republican can not win in the general with out the help of the new media and talk radio.

If we elect someone like McCain or Huckabee, who have no respect in Talk Radio, then we are doomed. It will be the end of the GOP.

Agree. That's how it's been up to now.

But it's hard to say what happens after today. Florida will be extremely expensive. And after FLA, the campaign will fracture among 20 states. Airtime becomes more critical...both free and paid. Fewer campaign rallies, more tarmac events.

It's just hard to say how McCain works in that environment. He'll have the "poll momentum" and the media on his side. Will enough pubbies resist that and deny him "his turn"? I'm worried they won't.
