The term RINO has gotten so deluted it’s meaningless now. I remember when there was a set group (McCain, Hagel,Snowe etc). Now I’ve seen people refer to even Ann Coulter as a RINO!

Ann has endorsed Mitt Romney, if that isn't a sign of the RINO-virus, you tell me what is.

If neither Thompson nor Hunter were available, who would you go for? Romney seems the least bad of the alternatives.

The IEM has Thompson pulling below 3%. It would not be unreasonable for Ms. Coulter to believe that he is not a viable candidate (though I think his probability of winning is a bit better than 3%, and may profit handsomely if he pulls this off). If Ms. Coulter does not think Fred is viable, whom should she pick?

McCain? Would you trust him with the button? Or with judicial picks, given that he stabbed Bush in the back on that very subject?

Huckabee? Would he not be seen as reinforcing all the stereotypes of evil Republicans, and would he not get slaughtered on that basis, taking much of the GOP with him?

Giuliani? He's not McCain and he's not Huckabee, but in what way is he better than Romney? Seriously.

Who would you suggest Ms. Coulter should endorse?

BTW, on a scale of 1-10, I'd rank the candidates as Hunter=9.5, Thompson=9, Romney=5, Giuliani=1, Huckabee=0, McCain=0. Romney is grossly inferior to Thompson, but still much better than anyone else.
