I understand and yes, he has maintained much in the face of the storm, but the shamnesty thing dissolved the glue. My biggest problem has been his seeming naivete on Islam and those inside our country he chose as the representatives thereof, which I tried to discount for a very long time. The bulk of the people fighting and dying on our side of the war are Muslim Iraqis, Afghanis and Pakistanis. Perhaps it is your perception, not Bush's, that is in error here.
