The *only* thing you write in a bible is a dedication or record family members’ birth and death dates.

You don’t sign it like you’re the author or something.

I just can’t pull the lever for Huckabee or McCain, just the thought of either one being the nominee turns my stom ach.

Never give up your vote. Go and write in for your favorite candidate. It will not help the one you can't stand, but you will have your say.

I did that Nixon's last run. He still won, but not with my vote. Of course there was no way I would have voted for his Dem opponent, who was much worse than Nixon.

If Huckabee does well in Spartanburg, Greenville, Lexington, and Berkeley county, he will win SC.

“BTW, on a scale of 1-10, I’d rank the candidates as Hunter=9.5, Thompson=9, Romney=5, Giuliani=1, Huckabee=0, McCain=0. Romney is grossly inferior to Thompson, but still much better than anyone else.”

I like your scale. Let me calibrate it as I see it:
10=Ronald Reagan
0=Bill/Hill Clinton

Given those standards for good and evil, I rate the candidates:

Thompson 8, Hunter 8, Romney 6, Huckabee 3, McCain 2, Rudy 2

Given my 10 and 0, how would you rate them?

I remember it well.

I don't see Huckabee being anything like President Carter.

He's a Republican that knows how to maneuver and govern in a BLUE environment. He was re-elected and left Arkansas in much better shape than when he inherited it.

All the other 'stuff'...to be kind, is spin.

He makes me nervous...but I'm willing to watch and listen to him.

I believe the primary voter in SC is internet savvy and is informed. Up till now, the GOP nominee has always won SC, right?

If your man, Huckleberry, wins in SC, you may fool yourself that the best man won. In reality, it will result in an indictment of the US voting population in general and the SC voters in particular--they are stuck on stupid and regularly drink the MSM KOOLAID.

One of the truest things Rush has said this year is that the US will pay a high price for stupidity.

Snow has been reported throughout the upstate as an anticipated cold front has arrived.

NewsChannel 7 has received various reports of snow in Greer, Anderson, Greenville, portions of Spartanburg and also in Lake Lure. Snowfall is expected to be between 1-3 inches and last throughout early evening.

Huckabee is a not ready for time player. Hopefully enough of his many shortcomings have been exposed to begin the deflation of his bubble in South Carolina.

My sister, a perceptive woman, if maybe not as much a political junkie as we, told be that there is just “something” about Huck that makes her uncomfortable.

She lives in the upstate and is pretty typical, I think.

I beg to differ.

Having a bible signed by a former U.S President would be awesome. I'm sure they're out there in circulation.
