I think voters in SC want to vote for who they think will be the eventual nominnee.

If not Fred, then the only one who can beat her is John McCain.

I will vote for him but not without holding my nose.

What a lousy bunch of candidates we have had this year.

The only reason for FOX to release exit poll data early is if they are TRYING TO INFLUENCE the voting and the outcome. That means that they are seeing something that goes against thier story line and they are trying to either rally or more likely DEPRESS the supporters of candidates that have not voted yet.

Putting out these numbers is a last shot at keeping people from voting for Fred. Demoralizing his supporters hours before the polls close is despicable.

I agree.

I think it’s time for conservatives to start paying more and more attention to their local house and senate races because we are more than likely gonna get the shaft with our presidential nominee since it will more than likely be McLame or Huckleberry.

Since i’d never vote for either one in the general election (as I’ve read neither will many of you) we could at least make sure we have a conservative congress!

Normally the details on Exit polling are not made public prior to poll closing. This would be a major change in policy.

That's my recall too.

Where did FNC post the Exit Poll numbers on TV screen on on their website? I cannot find it on the website. I can find a lot about their poll they released yesterday but that is not an exit poll.

Well, I want her to be the nominee. She’s so much easier to dislike than Obama, and let’s face it, most voters vote personality, not substance. Sadly.

I disagree. When the media picks them for us from the crop, then we got a problem.

Rudy talking specifics in Florida. Don’t flame me, but he sounds very impressive.

That is a material disclosure that has to be cited EVERY time. It should be present on every single show.

No different than the fact taht reporters who are consultants on campaigns should have to disclose that fact each time.

The disclose beckel is a democrat stategist every time. Not just him as an analyst.

Too many voters think the presidential election is just a beauty pageant.

As a Fred supporter, what would your feelings be if he teamed up on a ticket with McCain with Thompson being the VP?

OK but only after a one-term pledge by McCain, McCain changing his mind on GoreBull Warming, a strong anti-horsemanure-legislation cloture-proof Senate, a pledge to support the Bush tax cuts, a pledge to charge Mexico & other countries of origin for the cost of their illegals, a promise to put Janice Rogers Brown on the SCOTUS, etc. etc.

“Watching Rudy on CNN.”

Ugh... Shouldn’t he be OUT of this race by now? Hopefully Florida voters can send him packing back to New York.

The Rasmussen and Intrade markets have Field narrowly winning in SC. You can see the dip where the Faux News exit polls came out. They didn't event list Field in their results!

It seems from your previous posts that you wouldn’t have to hold your nose to vote McCain.

Fox reported some exit poll sampling a bit ago:

Evangelicals went 41% Huckabee and 27% McCain and 53% of voters identified themselves as Evangelicals, which gives Huckabee a great start.

However, Vets broke the other way 36% McCain vs 25% Huckabee and 25% identified themselves as Vets.

And, Independents broke 37% McCain vs 23% Huckabee with 20% identifying themselves as Independents.

If these groups were independent of one another (no double counting) it would imply a very, very close race with Huckabee slightly ahead.

However they also said that Huckabee got 32% of Conservatives vs 26% for McCain, with 2/3 of voters identifying themselves as Conservatives.

Remember these are samples, but if non-Conservatives broke 35/25 for McCain/Huckabee, this race would be a toss up, and if McCain does better than that, he would be ahead.

Ironically, the Conservatives appear to be choosing Huckabee, and again, liberals are trying to give us McCain as our nominee.

Thompson/Romney were back vying for 3rd place and I wasn’t paying much attention as they were in the low teens most of the time.

Incidentally, the InTrade market had Huckabee up a couple of hours ago, then swung toward McCain for a bit, and is now back in favor of Huckabee since the Fox exit sampling came out. I’m for Huckabee, but it looks like it could go either way from the numbers above.
