Thank you. My prayers go out to you too. Many losses and struggles in such a short time. How is your prognosis. In the past prostrate cancer was pretty advanced before it is found. Are you doing ok?

What type of treatments are there? So many people are concerned about losing their hair. I didn’t mind the hair loss for 9 months. Anything to get better. Wigs work fine.

I always have a Physical exam each year, so I found my cancer via a PSA blood test, and it is very early stage. There are several forms of treatment for PC, but at my age of 53 (young by most PC standards,) the three used most often used is surgery to remove, radiation, and seed implants. Most guys choose surgery, but because I have other medical problems, I chose IMRT radiation treatments. The main problem with my decision is that it requires 43 daily visits on consecutive days. Lucky for me I am only 5 minutes away from the local cancer center. I am already very fatigued from the radiation, and am having slight stomach problems, but it is expected. I wish you all the best. It is a tough road, but we have no choice.
