thats the problem, two tick off the religious base and the other two are open border loons. I dont see any way the party will come together with any of these four and am still holding out for an open convention. If Feb 5th breaks right.....there is a good chance. What you are describing is a problem of all coalition politics. Total purity is never going to be maintained in anything but a very small political party. Unless Thompson can pull it out, I'm hoping for a brokered convention as well. If a brokered convention occurs, who do you think will throw their hats into the ring? Who would you suggest as a candidate who could coalsce all the parts of the Republican party?

It is well advised the Constitution Party wait a few months--and change their convention date from April--and NOT endorse and nominate a candidate, until maybe the summer.
The Constitution Party needs to open up their process to a number of well known national Conservatives, at the same time see what is happening to the Republicans. It can be guaranteed that a huge chunk of Conservatives, for example, will get behind the Constitution Party in the General if McCain or Giuliani (maybe even Huckabee) is the GOP nominee, and the CP runs a really solid, famous, experienced national Conservative leader (not just some guy named "Herb Schmickelmeyer", some gas station attendant from Ft. Stockton, Texas with a history with the CP running for office locally and getting 2%of the vote.).
Let us think BIG as we keep our options open. Let us make 2008 exciting. Can you pass this on?

Please see my recent post. The "buzz" is starting.
I think any number of credible, big name Conservatives who are fed up with this MSM-rigged RINO 24-year domination of the top place on the GOP ticket, every four years--would be interested in establishing exploratory committees.

"It very well may be time for a new party. A truly conservative party that is motivated by restoring the foundation of American liberty."Why bother? Most folks here would just label you a racist nutball lunatic fringe nazi facist kook. I think it might be time to take a break from following politics.......and just keep my powder dry for what the future holds. Doesn't look good.

I am waiting for them to step forward. Usually I would consider some good super conservative names out of the House of Representatives, either currently in office, or formerly served. We dont need any racists or conspiracy nutballs, that is my only concern. I would even ask Tom Tancredo or Duncan Hunter to consider it, particularly if we have McCain which is going to be a COMPLETE ILLEGAL ALIEN frikkin DISASTER.

I am waiting for them to step forward. Watch Rick Santorium as I get behind him and give him a big push. ;-)

He is good, too, Commerce. Indeed, SOMEBODY will step forward for the future of the Country and Conservatism.

He wont get any votes from liberals because they dont respect the constitution. His votes could only come from conservatives who dont like the GOP nominee.
Don't worry, he won't get any votes from conservatives, they have respect for our country. Something cut and run has none of.
