We are at war with radical Islam. IMHO, radical islam is much more an ideology and political system than it is a religion. Even if it is both, the fact that it is also an ideology and political system means it MUST be considered when voting. Obama has ties to Islam...it should be a concern for us particularly at this point in history.

If all Muslims are aligned with radical Islam then should we not sever all connections with all Islamic countries in the Middle East, as well as Pakistan and Afganistan?

Those countries are not running for President of the United States.

Having said that, I would be inclined towards putting us on a national effort to get ourselves energy independent...and I believe a President could get the American public behind such a venture if they were willing to take it to the people and make it an effort on the order of reaching the moon in the 1960s - and that we could be energy independent within ten years if we so chose...and then severe ties with the radical nations altogether.

At the same time, holding out an olive branch to those who adopt republican-principled constitutional republics that wish to become our true partners and allies.
