Why do we care about this? What I want to know is that a president will kick Muslim @ss if that is required, so what he is today is most important. Muslims hate apostates even more than they hate non-Muslims (yeah, I know, it’s the religion of peace). If it has to be a Dem in ‘08, maybe it’s best if it’s one who rejected Islam in favor of Christianity.

Yeah, I’ve been hearing all this crap about Obama being Muslim or once being a Muslim. I really doubt he has anything to do with Islam at present. What I would like to see investigated is that church he belongs to. What are those folks all about?????

The feeling is that eventually, you’d like to arrive at some state where you can make diplomatic solutions work. The argument here is that if Hussein is a lapsed Muslim, then his status in the ME is going to be that of an apostate, rather than just a regular scumbag Christian guy like Bush (people of the book, as it were).
Legitimate gripe, if you are running against him for the nomination of the D party, and you are running on a ‘get the troops out of the ME’ platform.
