I agree with that part - where I disagree with Fred is his opposition to the Human Life Amendment and the fact that he doesn’t seem to have any enthusiasm for the pro-life cause. I get the feeling that it is not really a terribly important issue in his book.
If you think that that amendment will ever pass 2/3 of the states in this country you are as loony as Paul. Not going to happen so why bring it up.
I believe you are in error on that - He is strongly against abortion - but he's also strongly for the Constitution and the Freedoms of States Rights.
He doesn't believe the Federal Gov't has any right making these decisions in our lives - that these decisions are OURS to make, in our states and the Fed. Gov't needs to butt out.
If we don't get back our States Rights, the Reids, pelosis, clintons, etc, are going to be ruling our lives, our actions, in our homes and personal lives in every application.
Good grief, they've already mandated what king of toilets we will have and now are mandated what kind of light bulbs we'll be allowed to have, forcing us to use only the Mercury Vapor laden CFL bulbs by 2012.
Fred will take the illegal power over our lives out of Washington and give it back to us.
We are adults. We have the right to make decisions for our lives in our States.
This is being taken away from us...and the schools don't even teach these rights anymore so many dont' realize that Washington has no Constitutional right to make these decisions for us.
We are already deep into Socialism - on the brink of Communism.
We get back our decision making RIGHTS now - or they are forever gone.
We can't cherry pick which 'rights' Washington should be allowed to make in our lives and which not. We need to demand our Rights at a state level...and then grow up and take the responsibility to exercise those rights and decisions. FREDeralism NOW

And what is his position on the Right to Life Act? Did he promote it when he was in the Senate?
Duncan Hunter has introduced it to each new congress for ten years.
Where was Fred?
