What in the world did you expect Huckabee to do. He was ambushed about his religious beliefs and he did an excellent job defending them. You have to realize that most evangelicals like myself stood up and applauded his answer defending his faith. I am just shocked about how much anti-evangelical bias there is on FR these days.

Same here, I don’t see eye to eye with Huckabee on 90% of his stances but he nailed that one.

It's not anti-evangelical bias and I like Huckabee's answer, but my goodness, we're not electing a Preacher-in-Chief here.

The anti-evangelical response is because Carter was elected by evangelicals because he knew the Bible. But he didn’t know how to lead a nation. They see Huckabee in the same light.

There is a possibility that a Lib (Huckabee) may be elected as our nominee because of one-issue voters. He will then lose to either ZHillary or Obama. If that happens expect most Republicans to turn their backs on evangelicals for good.

“I am just shocked about how much anti-evangelical bias there is on FR these days.”

It’s because too many of you have shown your true stripes with your constant and nasty attacks on Romney for his religion, and for your support of the Huckster who is a liberal in sheep’s clothing and you can’t seem to figure that out. That in turn questions your conservative credentials that you would support a man based solely on the fact that he is of the same religion as you are. You show yourselves as one issue voters rather than voting on what’s best for your country and the best man for the job based on all their credentials, not just their religious beliefs.

I reject lumping all Christians together like we all think and act alike. We may be similar but we don’t all know each other and brainstorm together. It’s ridiculous and I blame the media.

Because we are supposed to be vetting a person to be President of the USA, not vetting someone as the President of the Southern Baptists. ... and Huckabee is the one who started all the religion, plain and simple, he whored out his religion to garner votes, where in percentage was he before he did that?!? He was in NO way ambushed!
