Leave. Just go.
Mr. Paul, you are NOT a Republican. You may have views that intersect with some aspects of the Republican platform. That does NOT make you a Republican.
The Republican Party is a big tent movement. We don't apply nearly the same strictness when it comes to tests of ideological purity as the Democrats do, but we still have some standards. And you, sir, do not even come close to meeting them.
People who blame America for the acts of war made against it are not Republicans.
People who think that we blew up our own buildings on 9/11...or who hint that we might have...or who attract the support of people with such beliefs...are not Republicans.
People who may be receiving secret funding from George Soros...and who certainly receive energy and succor from radical leftists...are not Republicans.
People who have become the darling of, and the recipient of support from, America's neo-Nazis and white supremacists---and who refuse to openly repudiate that support---are not Republicans.
And people who publish racist, anti-Semitic, and anti-American newsletters...are not Republicans.
Oh, and your protestations of innocence regarding this racist, anti-Semitic, anti-American newsletter to which you attached your name are absurd. As Jonah Goldberg said yesterday on the Michael Medved show, if...

Unfortunately, in a lot of ways he's more republican than the Republicans.
What a couple of strange bedfellows those two are!
“Be careful of what you ask for. An independent run by Ron Paul in 08 could sink the GOP nominee.”
No, the GOP straying from their principles will sink the party.
Anyway, I thought the talking point was that all Paul supporters were moveon.org types?
Whatcha worried about?
LOL, cornfusing, huh?
Right. If that were the case, Michael Dukakis would have been President in 1989. If anything, Paul would hurt the Democrat candidate more than the Republican. I would welcome his run as an "independent." He certainly is not running as a Republican.
“I second that. Get out, Paul!”
Chase away all the people who have never been exposed to the idea of limited government (lord knows not by the GOP of the Bushes!) and are now excited about it, and see what kind of frontrunners you get.
Dirtbags like McHuckaromniani.
Why are those constituencies still untapped. What has the party been doing all this time?
People will say what they will about Ron Paul, but he scores high for fiscal conservatism. Better than some of the other more “conservative” candidates.

I don’t like his head in the sand approach to Iraq, but I don’t think he should be “thrown out” of the party.
“If Paul supporters had any sense...”
If my Aunt was a man...
These people have no sense. None whatsoever. Thats why the fact that he is a racist does not suprise me.
Lets keep it real for a second, if Paul supporters were really interested in limited government they would support Fred, Duncan, or Mitt.
This is not about limited government for them. This about supporting a racist nut case who blames America more than Nancy Pelosi and George Soros.
There is a reason Dennis Kucinich wanted to form a ticket with him. If that doesnt make Paulbots ashamed then what will?

The war is not the defining issue of party membership. If it does become the defining issue, instead of limited government, the Reagan coalition will have died and more socialists like Mike Huckabee will infect the party.
I guess you don’t mind that Paul courts hate mongers?
Bingo!!! Ron Paul serves his purpose, and you stated it well. It would be stupid to chase him off completely.
Me neither. I like Paul’s constitutionalism, even though he misreads it on foreign policy. The GOP should be welcoming of the libertarian wing. It should not be so welcoming to the liberal wing.
If Paul does go 3rd party, these same people are going to whine about how the GOP lost the election.
I remember that article.
You are right, that was a big clue. Maybe the new Ron Paul slogan should be...
Ron Paul
Shameless
(have that Garth Brooks song playing in the background)
LOL!
That’s reality. Conservatives did well only with Reagan. Who since? Dole? W? I would not be surprised in the least if the nominee ends up being McCain. And once again, most of us here will hold our nose and vote for him. And the Republican party knows it.
Baaaaa .... Baaaaa .... Baaaaa
Perhaps you and the rest of anti-Paulites should organize some initiative aimed to encourage Paul to run as a third party candidate? Of course everything for the sake of GOP and its top rated "stars" like Guliani, Romney, Huck and McCain.
LOL -- these guys remind me of the old joke about the lawyer defending someonne from a rental-car lawsuit: "First, I will prove that my client never touched this car. Second, I will prove that this car was already damaged when my client took possession of it. Third, I will prove that this car was in perfect condition when my client returned it."
