Leave. Just go.
Mr. Paul, you are NOT a Republican. You may have views that intersect with some aspects of the Republican platform. That does NOT make you a Republican.
The Republican Party is a big tent movement. We don't apply nearly the same strictness when it comes to tests of ideological purity as the Democrats do, but we still have some standards. And you, sir, do not even come close to meeting them.
People who blame America for the acts of war made against it are not Republicans.
People who think that we blew up our own buildings on 9/11...or who hint that we might have...or who attract the support of people with such beliefs...are not Republicans.
People who may be receiving secret funding from George Soros...and who certainly receive energy and succor from radical leftists...are not Republicans.
People who have become the darling of, and the recipient of support from, America's neo-Nazis and white supremacists---and who refuse to openly repudiate that support---are not Republicans.
And people who publish racist, anti-Semitic, and anti-American newsletters...are not Republicans.
Oh, and your protestations of innocence regarding this racist, anti-Semitic, anti-American newsletter to which you attached your name are absurd. As Jonah Goldberg said yesterday on the Michael Medved show, if...

Good post
Any documentation?
"Evidence??? Cites??? Proof????"
Without some documentation, we must assume you simply invented.
He’s a David Duke repeat.
Get the heck out of the GOP.
Nonsense. He is an advocate of the Austrian school of economics, whose most prominent advocate, Ludwig von Mises, was of Jewish background, as was the most important American economist of that school, Murray Rothbard. Anti-Semites and most racists reject free market economics, preferring either socialism or some sort of mixed economy that is styled the "third way", but is similar to what modern liberals advocate.
Get the heck out of the GOP.
Paul's foreign policy views are aberrant and dangerous. However, if we were to apply a consistently conservative standard to the candidates for the Presidency, you would need to expel Giuliani, McCain, Romney, and Huckabee as well, based on their past records.
I missed the fun...was out all day yesterday with a sick kid...she’s back at school now
..racism is an ugly thing, and I reject it. I believe that all men should be treated equally...
I have thoroughly demonstrated it. That fact that you cannot see it aside. And yes, Jefferson did invite him back. One of the few. But he also had very little to do with him on his return.
Go check out those links I sent you. Those quotes were pulled by me from original sources that I have actually taken the time to read in their entirety.
I have read the complete workd of Thomas Paine, Jefferson, Washington, and most of our founding fathers. I doubt youcould say the same.
I’ve read Adam Smiths Wealth of Nations cover to cover. Something which most of my poly sci and econ professors hadn’t even managed to do (my degree is in poly sci btw).
Take a look at many of the quotes in those posts. They are longer versions of the one liners that you are probably used to seeing. Why? Context.
Paul uses quotes for support, not for illumination. The problem is that quotes are usually used out of context with their original meaning. Jeffrerson’s “sepparation of church and state” comment being those most well known.
And regardless of whether Paul sought the money or Soros searched him out would mean nothing to a man with Washingtons sense of honor. Which you would know if you had better grasp of history.
And, at the beginning of the argument, I speciffically said “IF” he took the money. If you cannot even read my statement on this post correctly, how can you expect credibility understanding what Washington said over 200 years ago.
Pride goeth before the fall and you are lying flat on your face on this one.
NATO is a treaty organization. The UN is not. Since you imply that Washington would not have objected to, my point is proved.
As for t he UN, if it worked as inteded, as a forum by which nations honestly aired and worked out their greivances peaceably, then Washington (and you and I for that matter) would have not problem it. Like you I am sure, Id prefer to see it and the thugs that reside their bull-dozed into the water.
But the point is they are unrelated. They are an apples/oranges comparisons. If you cannot see the glaring inconsistency in your own arguments, how can you expect to see the simple logic in mine? It give men no place to go.
At this point I will apologize to you though. In rereading our posts, I do see that I have been somewhat strident with my language and made insinuations against your intelligence which I should not have made (I tend to do that when frustrated and tired).
But the fact remains you are wrong on this.
Ron Paul talks a good game. He has even been consistent on his voting. But he understands nothing about foreign policy and his lack of understanding will do harm to this nation. He has also proven, through his courting of conspiracy nuts (a proven fact), that he has no common sense, or will say anythign to get elected (you pick).
IF he took money from Soros, It matters not whether he went to him or Soros "just gave it to him". A man of honor does not take dirty money from an enemy of the country he professes to love.
In the meantime, Paul might want to disclose the source of his recent, dramatic, bump in funding.
As for me, I am getting tired of people and politicians who espouse "situational ethics."
And that is my final word on this subject and thread.
And for the record, Dr. No voted YES for the King Holiday. This was hardly the act of a racist as Cook and Krichick attempt to portray him.
Moreover, opposing billions of taxpayer dollars sent to Israel, and the muslims countries, does not make one anti-semitic, anti-catholic, anti-muslim, anti-buddist, anti-hindu, anti-christian, or anti-anything. It makes one a true fiscal conservative.
Let’s see. Paul stated he wants to withdraw all of our military out of every country and bring them home. He is also on record as stating that Clinton did not cut the military enough. Where do you think all those soldiers and civilian personnel will work if they are all back in the states? Eliminating all overseas basis would weaken our ability to defend out interests in quite drastic ways, and would result in significant cuts in numbers of soldiers and weapons programs. If that would not result in the destruction of our military forces, then tell me what does it mean?
You delight in comparing apples with oranges, don’t you. The SF tiger incident and geopolitical issues! Wow, that’s a huge stretch.
Kinda forgot that for the most part our overseas bases are there through political negotiation with the host nation. In instances where the host nation no longer allowed the U.S. to keep bases in their country, we have removed them. It’s not as if we have FORCED those host nations to allow us to maintain those bases, now is it? But, the anti-America, blame America first side of you is plainly visible from your post to me, so I’m not surprised at your attempt at revisionist supposition.
Those three individuals dangled their legs over a fence to entice the tiger to attack. The tiger did. Explain how that is equivalent to having negotiated military bases overseas?
Ah, so your officer friends are okay with Paul’s stated intent of withdrawing all of our military from overseas, which would require a drastic cutback in the numbers of our forces and equipment/weapons system? Tell me, are these officer friends of yours nearing retirement?
"Wow, thats a huge stretch."
IYO
In his post #437:
"..is foolish at best."
Yes, IMO.
So, having troops overseas to use to defend our national interests, and the interests of our allies is foolish at best? Where’s Pat Buchannan when you need him (sigh).
Not IMO.
